Answer:	That's exactly how I'm using it. I have one burner to control the heat in the smoker, hooked to a thermostat (temperature controller) and another creating the smoke.

Answer:	My question about cookware was for the pans I use camping. I pack light but do use a 10 inch cast iron. It heats evenly on any type of cooking surface. I was wondering about the weight. Since purchasing this product, I have realized it does work. I put the 10 inch cast iron skillet with the lid on it - and it worked wonderfully. I was able to cook bacon and eggs for one meal using twigs. I was able to make chili for another cooking the meat/onions ect for another using 8 charcoal briquettes . I did place rocks around the legs, inside and out for stability but not sure that was needed. First time use was great. Next time I'll take picks. My entire reason for wanting the small stove is for the ability to pack in less area. For backpacking I have a cup metal cup with lid I'd take instead of cast iron -but for camping withing a 1/4 mile or so of the car this is great. I also like the ability to use twigs, wood and charcoal. I will take and share pics next time.

Generally a stove pipe needs to be higher than any object within 10' to 20' of it( if my memory serves). If it is out in the open -one ,maybe 2 . If smoke goes out the chimney and the wood burns well that is a good height.

Answer:	If this is the grate you need then the answer is two. Double check the owners booklet for your model number if you have two shaker grates then you will need two frames if replacing both. They seem to last longer if you reverse their position each year move front to back and back to front the fire is hotter near the air intake and that one seems to warp quicker. I have had my stove 12years and this is the first time I have replaced the frames the grates do not last as long.

Answer:	The one pictured is not the same as my model. Mine is the one for 19.95 which allows for adjustment of the fire pit. Grill surface is not adjustable.

Answer:	The description says just under 6 inches on each side, square base. So about 8.5 inches diagonal. I like an aluminum pie plate under it, or an aluminum roaster from Dollar Store, and that helps as a windscreen also.

Answer:	This stove has a slide in flat piece of metal that has small tabs on one side . this steel slides in a slot located below the fold down wire fire suport, it slides in from the hinged side of the stove, the tabs slide in last.....I hope this helps its a great stove !!
Question:	Won't the coal fall through the bottom grid
Answer:	It’s a small wood burning stove. The holes in the grid are pretty tiny, and very close to the ground. When the sticks burn enough that their coals can fit through the grid, they’ll basically be just ash at that point. But yes, that ash and any coals smaller than the tip of your ring finger will fall through the grid. Unless you’re using it long enough that the whole area fills, you’ll still get enough air flow through it to have a nice hot fire.

Answer:	24 inches long and 6 3/4 wide.

Answer:	It lasted only one year so I had a new one made at a local Trade School for about $20.00 and so far it has not even suggest even a hint of failure. I will never buy a stove like this one again.

Answer:	The Titan is the middle size. The Campfire is the big size.
Question:	I just received this stove. Very nice. I purchased it for emergencies, primarily. Would it be okay to burn wood pellets
Answer:	You can cut a circle of expanded metal or small mesh hardware cloth to fit to the top of the grate. Then the pellets will not fall through. 3oo grams of pellets will fit the burner, but if you dump them all in at once the fire will take a little longer to start but then will produce a much more intense fire than normal. It will work, but not as well as using the normal twigs or wood chunks.
Question:	Is this stove and pot's, aluminum or stainless steel
Answer:	Yep I agree with everything Ted C said (especially the dawn liquid - saves you from having sticky black pots for the remainder of your trip, until you get to some power tools :)Aluminum should definitely not be used above the Solo Stove if that's how you use them. I was easily able to obtain temperatures using nothing but hardwood coals and wind that were well in excess of Aluminum annealing point. I even got the CharBroil Stainless grill (portable) to glow bright red at the center of the heat. Basically the stove works so well that it is quite possible to achieve temperatures that are not exactly cooking safe with the wrong metals (particularly zinc and Aluminum and maybe anything with Teflon.)
Question:	Is this considred an open fire which could be restriicted in some areas vs a fuel stove
Answer:	Yes, this is technically an open fire. It's permissible in restricted fire areas that allow "contained" fires, such as barbecues or fire rings. Local regulations should always be consulted for areas with restrictions. This stove uses wood fuel, therefore sparks can leave the top of the combustion area.

Question:	I just bought this and am putting it together to surprise my bf. I know it sounds silly but which way do you put the bolts in? Thanks
Answer:	I know this is a very old question, but for someone new just joining in... My grill purchased in December 2017 has a beveled counter sunk hole on both sides. Maybe a design change in-progress? The screw heads sit flush whether placed from the top or from the bottom on my grill. My assembly drawing showed the screws placed from the top with nuts outside on the bottom of the grill. Of course the lock washers do not sit flat in either case due to the dual counter sink but in the big scheme of life, its a not a big deal. Be sure the screw head sits flush and only gently tighten them no matter which way you place them.
Question:	So many of the uploaded pics show lots of burnt food. Are y'all not the best cooks, or is it designed with the grate too close to the coals
Answer:	Most just dont know how to cook on an open grill especially one this small. It does not require a lot of coals. If you fill it with coal it is going to be way too hot, especially since it has no cover. Add a few coals and test it each time you cook. As with most things in life practice makes perfect.
Question:	The cooking grate on mine rusts like crazy and I practically have to sand it everytime I use it. I do not store it outside either. It has never seen a drop of rain. Is this normal, is there a chance mine was not seasoned properly
Answer:	Okay seasoning is not a thing on a grill.. you will burn through seasoning. When you are done let it cool to a warm to the touch feel .. then oil it with cooking spray.. Every time.. The little bit of rust you get will not matter because it will Burn off.. spray it with cooking spray when you get ready to use it again. So again seasoning is not a thing with this much heat...
