Answer:	Yes stable. I would recommend purchasing a higher quality thermometer. I let mine preheat for about 10 min on medium high heat. Checked it and it read about 250 degrees. Came back about 5 min later and it read about 260 when I bumped the basket that was in it the oil caught fire. Bummer. Ruined the small pot

Answer:	350 deg oil 3.5 min to the pound,,,,i believe the timer is 30 min,,,measure your oil amount by using water to float your turkey,,the oil ammount will be the same as the water regardless of the size of pot,,,be sure and dry your bird off well before you put it in the hot oil,,,use a gizzard first to check,,hope this helps

Answer:	The cooker does come with the basket that can be used for turkey, chicken, roasts, etc. The other accessories are for more specialty items (such as wings or ribs), which some people may not want to cook. Why increase the price to include all accessories, when many people don't even want them. The price of the cooker (when we bought it) was (in our opinion), very reasonable.

Answer:	The main difference is the design of the outer body and the inclusion of a meat thermometer with this new Big Easy.

Answer:	I cooked a 16 lb turkey for Thanksgiving and it was perfectly cooked in 2 1/2 hrs. I absolutely love this cooker. Tri-tip and ribs turned out great!

Answer:	That's a legitimate question. There is no solid cover like a standard gas grill, only a mesh cover but that cannot be used the entire time due to potential burning and it won't prevent rain from hitting your food. If you don't have a covered porch or other safe place to put this outdoors during rain you probably can't use it. Hopefully it won't rain on Thanksgiving this year!
