Answer:	Assuming you understand about mounting the panels, series and parallel connectivity and combining strings into lines with appropriate disconnects, you would need a correctly sized grid-tie inverter and a qualified electrician to connect the inverter to the main utility circuit breaker. Items; pv panel racking system, combiner box , DC disconnect, grid tie inverter, AC disconnect, and all the correctly sized wire to connect all these piece parts. I would suggest you layout a design on paper to identify these components and where they fit into the whole before going any further.

Answer:	For your 4 if you want 24V you must do them in pairs. Think of it like this. Your 3 in parallel are like a fire hose and it's then feeding your 4th which is (being like a single) like a garden hose. Your 4th will limit the overall power - and in trying to handle the "fire hose" of power - will probably over heat and be damaged as well. Which way you do the 2x2 doesn't matter much aside from any physical aspect re shading.

Answer:	The "40 amps" is just the maximum that the controller can provide to the batteries. With this kit, you'll never get close to that number, even if you wired all four panels in parallel (which I wouldn't do). If you wire all four panels in series, as you should do, then a 10-amp connection will be fine.

I try not to run the ac to much. For some basic info, I have 4 12v 100 ah agm in parallel. This gives me 800 ah. I run a couple of essentials 24/7. They do not exceed 1.8 amps. Ever. By batteries charge Fully off this system almost daily. They battery bank never never drops below 12.4 volts. I can run a 1500 watt fridge or ac about 5.5 hours. I’d you know the wattage of your appliances apply the following: Usage Hours = AH/(wattage/0.85/volts)

Answer:	this is a great start solar package. this is what i had. Rover 40Amp will allow approx. 6-7 100 watt solar panel. Each 100 watt solar panel at max will produce around 5 amps. So 6x5=30 amps; 7x5=35 amps, so these numbers of solar panels will NOT exceed or damage the Rover 40A (amp) MPPT solar charger. if you plan on expanding your solar array, buy more brackets and wiring (especially if you are doing parallel wiring) and more quality batteries (rec AGM or Lithium ion); buy Will Prose IV book on amazon! great resource.

Answer:	On grid means that you are tied to your local power company system. This is usually when you have systems that you sell back power to the grid as well as buy power when you do not produce enough. Also known as grid tied (as someone who had done both, on grid without your own power wall/battery storage ends up losing money because the power companies ALWAYS buy their power from you for fractions of the amount you buy power from them when you aren’t producing enough. This is why we went off grid. That’s all your power and your system and no one can take any from you but you also don’t have back up “city power” either (we use a large generator as our backup). On grid is a scam in my opinion. Even with our very affordable Tesla solar panels (Tesla only allows you to be on grid)

Answer:	No. To power that fridge on AC voltage (450 watts÷ 12 VDC = JUST UNDER 40 AMPS.) 200 wattage solar panels = 17 Amps. If your running propane then yes, there will be enough power to control the valves. Be sure you have enough battery storage. Renogy has great info on their site. Jim.
Question:	Does this kits come wih the connectors needed to run both panels in series as opposed to separate? Or does one need to buy additional connectors
Answer:	You do not need additional cables or adapters beyond what is in the kit if you want to connect both panels in series. That is how I have mine set up, so I can deliver higher voltage (and less amperage) from the panels to the controller. The MPPT controller handles this quite well. You only need an additional adapter if you want to connect the panels in parallel, but with only two panels and the MPPT controller, I don't know why you would want to do that.

Answer:	This system does not come with branch connectors. With the MPPT controller we recommend wiring your panels in series. Your Rover controller will take the higher input voltage and step it down on the output to match the charging voltage of the selected battery type. It will take the excess voltage and convert it to additional amperage to send to the battery.

Answer:	Hellp Understood that most customer will think for 100w panel, they will get 100w output. But this is theoretical output udder lab condition. With a good charge controller, under a common environment, you will loss at least 10% in performance from the panel to controller. You can loss a little if your solar panel angle is not 100% towards the sun, you can loss a little if your cable gauge size is not thick enough for the distance you run from panel to controller. Normally,the actual output is abut 70-80 watts. Thanks.

Answer:	Depends on the power you want to deal with. A higher voltage battery bank will let you deal with more power in the panels since the controllers are amp limited. Just get a controller that will do the voltage. MPPT will get you 15-25% more power from your panels. Also If you are using lithium batteries you need a charger that you can set charging voltages manually.
Question:	when it says 100 watts, is that per hour, per a number of hours, how does that work
Answer:	Let's do some quick math, 100 watts in full sunlight on a summer day for 6 hours is 600 watt hours input to a 12 volt 100 amp hour battery. 600 / 12 volts is 50 amp hours. If you have a 100 amp hour battery and your final voltage when the sun goes down is 12 .6 volts you have a somewhat new lead acid battery. At 12.6 volts A new battery will give you all 100 amp hours of it's capacity by the time it reaches 12.0 volts. A 3000 watt inverter at 120 volts produces / uses 25 amps. 25 * 60 mins = 1500 amp hrs * 24 hrs = 36000 amp hours per day to feed the monster. Don't try too cheat the math it has no conscience, I can't afford the batteries yet. The only argument anyone can offer is you don't use it all 24 hours do you?, Bet me!

I am using (2) 100w panels to charge (4) 100amp hour Weize batteries. I am on a building project and use a 3000w inverters to run 12” desalt miter saw, pancake compressor & circular saw. I have power all day & full power the next day
