Question:	i have a dead ash tree stump.. it measures about 24 inches across ..will this product disolve the stump
Answer:	What this product type does is softens the stump from the inside(the more holds you drill into any solid wood the better-and make sure to do some around the sides angling downward to meet a hole drilled through from the top). You can also use this on any large roots running off the stump which will aid in removal when your ready. These products will work better (faster) if not used on a freshly cut tree-being dried out for at least a year will speed up the process. Once the wood has been softened by a "stump killer" you can have it removed or, as I do, you can break up the stump (axe etc) to remove it.
Question:	Can this be applied to sucker trees
Answer:	It will kill (or severely damage) the tree if you do. Google "sucker stopper". There is a product made just for to stop suckers from growing without harming the plant. Good Luck.

Answer:	It will probably kill grass. I only use it for hard-to-kill weeds that may be woodsy, like a small Palo Verde or some large weeds that resemble grass with very long blades. If you want to kill poison ivy, cut it short to about 3 inches in length, wrap a paper towel around the stubs and drench it with the brush killer. Be careful not to spill it on the grass.

Question:	Cut down a big tree will this kill stump ,and how long would it take
Answer:	Provided you paint the product on the stump immediately after cutting; not 10 minutes later, it's pretty much fool-proof. Because there is an applicator doesn't necessarily mean you must use it. I have a 4X4 in, by approx. 1/2 in deep white pyrex dish with a small handle that I pour a few oz of stump and vine herbicide into prior to making any plant cuts. I use a $0.99 (dollar store) one-inch wide paint brush to apply the poison completely over cuts as soon as the sawing has finished. The applicator goes back into the bottle to prevent spilling: It is never used since plant trash/dirt will quickly contaminate the herbicide bottle. Dispose of used paint brush as directed to prevent water contamination. Best I can tell, the death of the plants is pretty much in 1-7 days: They just never sprout again.

Answer:	I am not sure but if you try, you need to have a fresh cut and apply the herbicide only to the part that you want to kill. Paint the cut thoroughly and may be apply it twice. It could kill the tree if you apply it to the part still connected to the tree. On the other hand, if you cut the roots cleanly, you may not need to use the herbicide for most trees.
Question:	For those of you who used this to kill invasive vines, did it work? I need to eradicate this dreadful Oriental Bittersweet that has invaded my land
Answer:	Did not work on trumpet vine .Would temporarily kill and then New growth appeared from dead looking stump. I have tried it for a over a year. Also didn’t work on Tree of Heaven.

Answer:	You need to make a fresh cut, and then paint the vine (or weed tree, in my case) where you've cut it. An old cut won't work.

Answer:	Straight out of the bottle on freshly cut stump or sprout. Only need to apply product to outer rings of stump.
Question:	does the tree have to be cut down first
Answer:	This is the most powerful tree/scrub/vine killer I have found. A large gum tree was cut down and several trees grew back to medium size. I just took a couple of bottles out and poured it at the base of the trees and it took them out. It just soaks into the ground into the roots. I had a very large crepe myrtle that was essentially a tree. After we cut it down I put it on the stump and I doubt if it will ever come back. I think I have used too much. My yard had become overrun with vines. When I treated the crepe myrtle it killed 1 holly below it and harm the 2 hollies next to it. I was treating some vines in a holly hedge and it hit the hollies hard. They are still alive and I hope they come back. In a different area we we treating vines in a camellia hedge and it took out a few of them. My lesson learned is less is better if there are other plants around that you want to keep. Anyone know how long this stuff lasts before it breaks down?
Question:	Would this work by drilling holes in the tree with out cutting it down
Answer:	The Short answer is Yes/No. I have a hill on my property that is full of cottonwood, and no other chemical worked as good as this one. The cottonwood is extremely tough to kill, took a few tries to figure out the best way to use it. I drilled 3/8" holes around each tree at its root ball, drilled as deep as I can that button out the drill bit and fill the hole with this stuff, for large trees, it may take a few months to show signs of dying, just be patient, it will work. Answer:	apply a circle where the bark meets the wood. That is where all the life in a trees trunk is. the vast majority of a trunk is hard wood and is used only for structure so to do more is a waste. I am a forester and have used gallons of tordon it is a very good product.

They haven't grown back where the chemical was applied to the cut stumps. I gone through about 5 bottles at two properties and keep buying it because it works so well.

Answer:	Yes it would. But you have to reapply when you see new growth. Bayer has a better product (BioAdvanced Brush Killer) that kills the whole invasive plant unless you only want to get rid of the new growth.

Answer:	Must cut it at the ground and brush generously. Repeat where ever it sprouts. When the roots begin dying I can pull a few inches out. There is always another sprout.

Question:	Will this kill out sumac and their rhizones? permanently
Answer:	Kathleen, This is tough one to answer for sure. The label doesn't make such a claim. But in my personal experience, I have seen it work this way many times. So in some cases I have sprayed vines along my property border and a week later, vines in my neighbors yard some 5-10 feet away have died even though there was no clue they were linked or part of the same plant I treated. Now will it perform like this for every plant? One would think yes but I've not seen this happen across the board. I say that because in other cases, other vines I have sprayed along the border may have a few shoots 5-10 feet on my side but the very same treatment has not always killed them too. I know because I have used this treatment strategy a few times to see just how much I can affect. In summary, I would say it might be able to purge related rhizones but results could vary from plant to plant. Answer:	If you cut it off and put it on the part where you cut it, yes, it will kill it. Easier to just spray with some other weed killer though. I mostly use it to kill small trees I don't want in the manner I just described.

Question:	How is this solution mixed and how much of a coverage area can I expect from this bottle? Thank you for your help
Answer:	My husband used it and this is his response. "One bottle goes a long way since it is diluted directly 1:8 in a pump sprayer. It took 2 sprays to kill unwanted growth from a Live Oak, probably due to the amount of rain we get almost everyday. You could probably use a garden hose with a sprayer attachment but I don't feel you have as much control. We were able to direct the spray on the unwanted growth and save my other plants nearby."

Answer:	It may, it depends on how established and rampant the problem is. I bought a home with it a few years years worth of growth on it and tried the Bayer with no success. I had to use this: Triclopyr 4E Herbicide 1 Gallon - Replaces Remedy Ultra. It is expensive, but it killed it off where I sprayed two applications (over the course of a month). Ivy is very resilient, so unless you kill all of it, it will slowly creep back in. If you want to try the bayer first because it is inexpensive, I would use it just about undiluted and use a agent like bonide to ensure it sticks.
Question:	Wondering what the mix ratio (ounces per gallon) is required by the concentrate
Answer:	Add 4 fl. oz.(1/2 cup, 8tbsp) to 1 gallon of water to spray on brush. Brush undiluted to kill Kudzu, Poison Ivy, Poison Oak, Blackberries, and also stumps and root sprouts leaves.
Question:	what's the percentage of triclopyr
Answer:	It depends! Amazon is selling multiple concentrations of this product all grouped together, and their product descriptions do not make this clear. The "Concentrate" seems to have 8.8% triclopyr, but the "ready to use" gallon and 1.3 gallon sizes are diluted 10 times from that amount...my 1 gallon bottle says 0.8% triclopyr, 99.2% other ingredients. Be careful which one you choose! I thought I was getting the 8.8% and so am sending it back.
