Answer:	Ok there are two rates on the label. One is 6 ounces per gallon for spot treatments and the other is confusing and is more for spraying large areas. It says to use 7.4 ounces in 1 to 10 gallons of water and to spray that over 1000 square feet. Basically what that means is use whatever water between 1-10 gallons that it takes you to cover 1000 square feet at the pace you are working and the rate your sprayer is putting out spray. Answer:	It is safe to use at the edge of a lake but you should establish a buffer zone to make sure the vinegar isn't directly sprayed into the water. The vinegar will not leach & is quickly absorbed & neutralized by the soil so it won't leak into the lake.

Answer:	Yes it will. You will be doing a fair amount of digging up rhizomes (underground stems) and cutting down the stalks. Cut the bamboo down to soil level and wait for new shoots to grow back. Before you spray new bamboo leaves, make sure that you either cut or mow it down and then allow it to regrow. It sounds weird, but you need to let new bamboo grow. Vinegar weed killer won't be effective if the canes of the bamboo are well-developed. Sever any underground rhizomes when new shoots start to grow back. Use a sharp spade (or other sharp garden implement) to cut down the bamboo and sever the rhizomes of the bamboo. Break up as many clumps of rhizomes as possible. Apply vinegar full strength to the leaves, stalks, and shoots of the bamboo. Vinegar will kill the plants that it comes into direct contact with. This means that you'll need to be careful about applying it only to the bamboo.Vinegar needs to be sprayed onto the leaves, stalks, and shoots of the plant and allowed enough time to penetrate before any water dilutes it. Do not apply vinegar to the soil surrounding the bamboo, as it will be ineffective.

Answer:	Surprisingly, this worked on most of my simple weeds, I do not have poison ivy to kill but my first thought is this is not strong enough to eliminate that tuff invasive weed. I believe one of the popular brands actually makes a poison ivy killer. I googled "can vinegar kill poison ivy" and the answer is yes, white vinegar will kill poison ivy, though it might take a few days to notice. Fill your garden sprayer with straight, undiluted white vinegar and take aim at the poison ivy leaves and crowns. Other sites say to heat the solution with salt and add dish soap. All the articles mention it will take time, possibly a week and you might need to reapply. So maybe this would work but probably not as quick as you would like and not in one application. I would buy something better that works faster.

Question:	Do I use this before or after I fertilize my lawn in the Fall
Answer:	I wouldn't necessarily use this in the Fall. September is a nice cool month to do some reseeding, and you can't put this down within 6 weeks of seeding the lawn. I tend to do a March application and a 2nd April application, leaving me a window to seed the lawn in June. Always remember, June and September are the 2 best months to seed your lawn. I also wouldn't put this down in the fall because crabgrass does not tend to germinate in the fall, it germinates in March and April.
Question:	Is this effective against crabgrass
Answer:	I used it for the first time this season. I couldn't see that it did anything although I understand that it should be used for 3 consecutive seasons to see significant results. I wasn't pleased with the size of the pellets (rabbit food size). It took several rain events for the product to dissolve. Maybe this is better but it just wasn't what I expected. In the spring I plan to use a chemical crabgrass preventer. I'm changing over to a zoysia lawn. Zoysia may go dormant and turn brown in the winter but it requires no watering and less mowing in summer. In a few seasons I won't need any fertilizer or weed killer (except for spot treatments).
Question:	Can this be used in the garden as well as the lawn
Answer:	Does this kill the grasses that produce those nasty "Foxtails"? I have animals, vegetable garden, etc. and need a better way to kill these weeds/grasses before they produce the foxtails. Trying to "weed-wacker" them down before they get the foxtails is not always possible for me due to health issues.
Question:	Is this a good product to use on gravel walkways to avoid weed growth
Answer:	Mike McGrath says: Spread even the finest quality corn gluten on established weeds like those walkway ones, however, and you'll simply be feeding them. Mulch,vinegar, flame, hoeing and/or hand pulling are the answer here-and in that large-scale, Master Gardener situation. Yes, you could prevent future weeds by dusting with corn gluten every six weeks, but it would be hugely expensive and you'd be wasting all that great nitrogen fertilizer if there weren't 'wanted' plants growing in that area. Answer:	I sprayed it around a bunch of fruit trees , shrubs and other plants. It killed part of the weeds but they are back. It didn't hurt the trees or shrubs.

Answer:	As far as I can tell, I doesn't really work at all.

Answer:	It isn't broad leaf specific, so if you spray it on the the tall grasses, it will kill them. It kills Bermuda, after a few days and nut sedge. I love this stuff and have entirely quit using Roundup because this is so effective. You do need to be patient though, it takes a few days to dehydrate the weeds. Tough leaf weeds are a bit more difficult.
Question:	can you add vinegar to it
Answer:	Yes- absolutely add vinegar. Avenge is mildly effective without it-- much more with it. I find I have to reapply for awhile to get down to the roots. I'm also using a bleach and salt water mix which works on thistles and bindweed moderately well.

Of course if you are in tight spaces or don't have protected plants you don't want dead it wouldn't work . I use it under fruit trees and grape vines ....both have plastic guards that do not let any fluids in . Sorry if I am of no help.

Answer:	The label states 8 ounces ( 1 cup) of concentrate added to 3 cups of water.......or If you are doing a large area as the front label states on the 128 oz size( Makes 4 gallons) so dump the concentrate into a 5 gallon pail and fill the empty Burn Out container up with water 3 times and empty into the 5 gallon pail in which you have poured the concentrate . Stir well and fill sprayer. If the weeds are perennial change the ratio to one part concentrate to one part water. Was your product missing a label ? I found the directions to be very specific. Question:	This says concentrate, how much does 1 gallon produce
Answer:	depends on the weeds. If its just regular smaller weeds 6 gallons of product. If its tougher weeds 4.5 gallons and really tough stuff 3 gallons. Hope that helps. Temperature plays a part also. Found that if you put down when its hot it works better.
Question:	is it effective on wisteria
Answer:	Avenger works on the surface of the plant. wisteria is a deeply rooted plant and will come back from the root even if you kill the surface of the plant. The only thing that I know that will remove wisteria is a shovel.
Question:	after you mix it, how long is it good for in the bottle
Answer:	I've previously had a batch mixed and in the bottle for several weeks and the results seem to be the same as when it was originally made.
Question:	Can this be used in a vegetable garden
Answer:	If one was really careful ... yes. However after trying this the cost vs results are not what I expected. I have used 20% solution of vinegar added to water with a tsp of dish soap with great results. Discourage use directly in the garden. Use more for around. Also another recipe which works best is 1 gal cheap white vinegar, 2 cups of Epsom salt and 1/4 of dawn. Best to apply in sun.All these recommendations are for eliminating or killing plants and weeds so care needs to be done near healthy plants. In fact I use this formula strictly for weeding out stuff not in my healthy plant area. Both formulas work well on the average weeds but aggressive things like crabgrass and other toughies this does not work

Can this be safely used combined with concentrated vinegar to kill bindweed

Answer:

No. Avenger and Vinegar are both topicals that kill a plant by burning the leaves. Because bindweed roots go so far down in the ground neither Avenger or an Avenger/Vinegar combination will work. I just went thru this on a job where we had bindweed over running a native perennial garden.The Avenger killed the visible growth but not the roots. After repeated applications of Avenger/Vinegar we finally reluctantly used Roundup. Roundup worked.
