Question: | What month I can use it or i can use it anytime il ? I was mixed 2 ounces for one gallon of water so far it doesn't work for me. Please advise |
Answer: | I bought this for Creeping Charlie that is taking over my lawn, most herbicides only work in warm weather (check the label instructions). 2-oz per gallon, it injured Poison Ivy, and I spot sprayed an area of my lawn and did not see any damage after three days. Two weeks later, I had to look to find any of the ground ivy treated with one application... The stuff works but may require up to a month to see results. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this kill Japanese Knotweed |
Answer: | So far, it is doing great damage to my JK, but it's advised to WAIT and spray in the fall when it's in full flower. This is when the plant will carry the poison down to the root. If you spray earlier in the season when it's growing, you'll just kill the foliage and it will grow back again. I'll know more next season, but after a year and a half of failed mechanical control, this seems to be working! The hard part is waiting and letting it flourish until it flowers! |
Question: | How many square feet does it kill |
Answer: | John, thank you for your question regarding Roundup Ready-To-Use Weed & Grass Killer III -- with Pump 'N Go 2 Sprayer, Use in & Around Vegetable Gardens, Tree Rings, Flower Beds, Patios & More, Kills to the Root, 1.33 gal. The coverage is 400 square feet for the entire 1.33 gallon container. |
Question: | how to get a better pump replacement |
Answer: | I gave up on this because of the pump and cost of the ready to use solution. I went with a 1 gal Chapin 20000 sprayer and I buy the concentrate for it. Much more economical, results are as good and the sprayer is more reliable. |
Question: | I followed every instruction exactly and the motor turns on, but nothing comes out. What could I be doing wrong |
Answer: | That just happened to me as well. I realized in my case that the red connector wasn't pushed all the way into the top. I set the bottle down on the ground and with all my weight pushed it in and then it locked in and the chemical came right out. It had to be flush against the top of the bottle to actually come out. Hope that made sense. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can it be used on new fescue grass? How long until after you seed can it be used |
Answer: | It can be used on fescue. It should be mowed several times before using any herbicide and never apply above temps of 90 degrees. Any new grass is rather weak, until it has a good root system. The longer you can wait, the better it will be for the new grass. |
Question: | IS IT SAFE ON MARATHON AND TALL FESCUES GRASS |
Answer: | I live in Southern California and use this on my Marathon to kill everything else in the grass (particularly Bermuda and clovers). It works great. I really recommend using a stronger concentration than recommended, about 2x. Be sure to turn off your sprinklers for 72 hours after spraying and don't spray on an overly hot day. I spray in the Spring and Summer. It isn't really necessary except spot treatment in the Fall and Winter. Good luck! |
Question: | does this product have an expiration date ? How long can you store the product and will remain effective |
Answer: | I took a look at the two bottles that I have. They do not have expiration dates on them. They do have lot numbers. Generally, herbicides and insecticides have a very long shelf life, but keep them sealed up so they do not change the dilution properties from evaporation. |
Question: | Will this kill nutsedge |
Answer: | I had a field 150’ x 100’ of random weeds and lots of burr clover with spike balls in my back yard. This killed all of the weeds - every type and left the few small patches if real grass still alive. No idea about nutsedge but I won’t purchase any other product. This was highly recommended from a gardener and it killed everything but the grass, and I had some big ugly weeds with thorns and the spike balls. |

Question: | How well does this work on poison ivy |
Answer: | a stronger solution works well |
Question: | How well does this work on poison ivy |
Answer: | Surprisingly, this worked on most of my simple weeds, I do not have poison ivy to kill but my first thought is this is not strong enough to eliminate that tuff invasive weed. I believe one of the popular brands actually makes a poison ivy killer. I googled "can vinegar kill poison ivy" and the answer is yes, white vinegar will kill poison ivy, though it might take a few days to notice. Fill your garden sprayer with straight, undiluted white vinegar and take aim at the poison ivy leaves and crowns. Other sites say to heat the solution with salt and add dish soap. All the articles mention it will take time, possibly a week and you might need to reapply. So maybe this would work but probably not as quick as you would like and not in one application. I would buy something better that works faster. |
Question: | Can you use this on artificial turf |
Answer: | Hello, Thank you for your question. Eco Garden Pro is non selective, and will work to eliminate all weeds, grass, and moss varieties. It should be perfectly safe for your synthetic astroturf. If you are concerned, apply to a smaller area first to spot test the product. |

User questions & answers
Question: | does this product kill wild onions?, if not what does |
Answer: | There is no residual for GroundClear Weed and Grass Killer, so once the weeds have died you should be able to replant. |
Question: | Does this product gave any fertilizer in it? I recently applied weed and feed and had an unexpected thunderstorm wash it away and need an alternative |
Answer: | I couldn’t get it to kill anything |
Question: | will it kill quackgrass |
Answer: | as long as the grass is established, it should in no way affect it. if you lay down a barrier of pre-emergent and then sow grass seed, it would then prevent the grass from germinating properly, if at all. |
Question: | will it kill bind weed |
Answer: | What does the label say? For southern lawns (I live in Orlando, FL), during the summer months only, I use Celsius WG. Very expensive, but a little goes a long way. Mixes at 1 tsp per gallon of water at the standard rate. And this stuff really, really, really, works. It is the only thing I have found that will kill crab grass. |
