Answer:	this is not a plastic. It is a heavy duty mesh like fiber. I'm not sure if it has polypropylene in it but it works very well. Hopefully this helps.

Answer:	I was disappointed with the product. It does not block weeds from coming up so, I would assume plants from above would go through.

Answer:	It would fray if a cut was left exposed. But once the material is secured and covered, I've never had problems with it. We used to use a propane torch to burn holes in it for plants (thus sealing the edges), but don't bother with that anymore. Cutting holes for our plants works just fine.

Question:	can I put one inch gravel on top and still no weeds
Answer:	I have 4 inches of pebbles around my pool and it will sprout weeds, but they are easy to pull as they just grow on top of the fabric. In my garden I get weeds and I do not have any pebbles, they grow in the seams where they overlap. When they grow in the seams the roots get under the fabric and they can get hard to pull. I would think that 1 inch of gravel would not grow weeds if it was straight gravel and no sand or dirt. I use a lot of this fabric and it works good, but you may still have some weeds. Hope that helps.
Question:	after reading the reviews, what is the best way to cut it? torch? why? any other ways that is simple
Answer:	I tried various methods. I didn't like the fraying problem when a sharp blade or scissors was used. A propane torch melted or shrunk too much of the fabric. I finally settled on an electric soldering gun. It cut through the fabric like butter, nearly as fast as scissors, cuts were precise, I could easily trace around complicated shapes (even easier than with scissors), the adjacent fabric was not affected, and it left behind a melted edge that did not fray. I had to drag an extension cord around, but I have a 100 ft cord so no problem. The soldering gun was a Weller D550 dual heat. On the high heat setting you can move fast! I did not have to use just the end of the soldering tip as you would when actually soldering. I just dragged the wire part of the soldering tip through the fabric. To check for longevity, I purposely tried to pull an edge apart to see if I could get it to fray. I couldn't, so it looks like the cut edge will stay fused permanently. If you compare the result of this method with the factory edge, they are quite similar.
Question:	Does water go through the material easily or will it cause ponds in my rock landscaping like plastic
Answer:	Mine drains well enough. Small amounts may seem to pool if there is no rock/bark on top of it but I've been through some heavy rains and had no problems. I used it on a slope with bark on top and was concerned the bark would wash away but it doesn't.

Answer:	no.its a heavy commercial plastic like fabric. Dont let that fool you though. I installed it last year. Put 3-4" mulch cover n have had no weeds or bermuda grass come through which is AMAZING! Previous landscape material used have issues throughout. Did purchase 10" staples n spaced every 2ft. Awesome product.

Answer:	No it did not. That is pretty par for the course for landscape fabric. I do not recommend this product. Not because it does not come with pins. I did not like the quality compared to other landscape fabric I have used. This was hard to work with. It frayed really bad. I would not buy this product again.

Answer:	I don't know and can't find the official thickness of the material but it is probably slightly thicker than one of the blue plastic tarps that are so prevalent. I have ten raised beds in my garden and I used it to cover the walkways between them. It works very well keeping the weeds down.The dimensions appear to be very accurate. Check the width you need and buy the size accordingly. It isn't hard to trim it down to size but a little awkward trying to piece two strips together to make it wider. My walkways vary a little and I should have gotten the 5 foot with and trimmed down. Get good staples and don't be stingy with them. I put mine down several months ago and we had a long, hot summer with little rain until recently. They have held up well without fraying, coming up, or anything. I will probably cover them with a thin layer of wood chip much in spring. I hope this helps.

We planted squash, zuchinni, cabbage, Jalapeno peppers, tomatoes, and cantaloupes using this fabric. It works great if you use all of the holes, but that's not probable. Weeds will grow in the holes where nothing is planted, but it's better than not using the fabric at all. It eliminates a lot of grass and weeds. Hope this helps you. Answer:	I don’t know if manufacturer will comply but it is truly heavy duty. Not like the cheap thin stuff from tour big box store
Question:	anyone use this for growing onions ? just wonder if any ill effects of the onion bulb and the black plastic
Answer:	Actually I did this year as an experiment. I will grow 3 times as many next year. My soil preparation was not ideal. But I had the best onions in years. Large onions. Warning. It takes a week or two for the barrier to become fully permeable to water. I noticed no ill effects on the onions. Hope his helps.
