Answer:	Yes, The timer has 3/4 inch hose thread. If you were going to use it on the end of a pipe, there are adapters to get from hose to pipe and vice versa. As far as I know, Orbit does not have the adapters, but Home Depot, Lowes or most any hardware store sells them.

Answer:	They last quite long, as the unit itself died before the batteries did! In our salt air environment, we just replaced the unit after about 10 months. Good product!

Answer:	The frequency is set by the number of days...so 1 is every day, 2 is every two days, and so on. You can also set every 6 hours or 12 hours. And you have start times as well.
Question:	Would someone kindly explain why this Orbit with a brass connector gets lower ratings than what looks to be the same timer with a plastic connector
Answer:	I personally prefer brass connectors, plastic have the potential to crack or ruin the connecting threads if they are not properly aligned; my personal experience.

Answer:	I don’t think it will work as you want. You can set it for a set time frame but then have to set for another.....can’t set for intermittent timing.

Answer:	I live in Michigan. I take them in if it even looks like it might freeze. I doubt they would hold up in freezing temperatures.

Answer:	Not that I"m aware of. But at normal flow through a garden hose, it will run at about 8 gallons a minute or 480 gallons in an hour. That's a lot of water in the garden. I find the product to serve me well.

Answer:	The dial on the timer goes from 0.......15.......30 etc. so yes you could set it for less than 15 mins. I have not tried this though. This little timer is well worth the money.

Answer:	Once you set your program - it will last as long as the batteries last. Get some extra-strength batteries and you should be ok for two weeks.

Answer:	The valve opens at the programmed time......even when there's no water at all. However, if the water source is a rain barrel, only gravity will be pushing water out.

Answer:	I can assure you there is no rating available as to high limit of ambient temperature at which this timer might fail.Considering cold water is running through it when valve is open, that should be a positive factor.Otherwise, you guess is as good as mine.

Answer:	No. It needs 20 psi to work. One foot of head equals 0.4 psi so your water tank would need to be setting on a 50-foot tower or hill to provide 20 psi.

Answer:	What I do is make sure there is no 'Time" nor 'Minutes" set on the side that I don't want the unit to use. You might need a small piece of wire to insert into the TINY re-set hole on the right side of the unit. Pushing this will clear the memory and functions. Or what I do is just take the batteries out for a few minutes and set new time and duration on the line I want to use.

Answer:	I use the timer every day and have left the faucet on. I turn it off if I expect to leave the property for more than a day. I never leave it on if I expect very cold temperatures. Answer:	You have to trick it; use both positions on the same watering line. Then set one of the outlets to water once a week starting Monday; wait 3 days and set the other to water once a week (starting Thursday). Be careful when changing batteries or otherwise interrupting the cycle. It's not perfect because it doesn't know what day of the week it is. I haven't tried this; it seems like this is the way it would work.

Answer:	I don't have the Claber, but Orbit works fine and is easy to use--this is the second year of use and I have 2 of these. Only thing, the connection for the hose is plastic, so just make sure you screw the hose on accurately or you will strip the connection and ruin the timer. Kay

Answer:	I have used these (Orbit) or similar Orbit battery sprinkler timers for years. They are amazing. They use AA battery x 2. I have never gotten less than 2 years of use out of the 2 batteries and have some going on 2+ years. They display starts to get dim at some point as the batteries age but the timer will still work. At this point I replace the batteries. Such a bargain. I will never use a 24VAC sprinker controller again.

Answer:	It is a digital timer. Two of the three water outlets can be programmed and one is a manual outlet. You attach a source hose (water inlet) to the top of the unit and you have the option of water turning on for the two programmed outlets on the under side. Proper placement of the sprinklers and or irrigation system and it can automatically water lawns, flower beds, what ever you want.

Answer:	HomeKit compatibility promised at release at beginning of year (2018). As of June 1, 2018, still no HomeKit compatibility. Orbit needs to stop promoting the product based on HomeKit compatiblity until it actual works—and retract all those (fraudulent?) press releases online and wherever else promising HomeKit compatibility.
Question:	How does the WiFi hub connects to the timer? Is there a distance limit between them
Answer:	The timer itself has only bluetooth. The hub bridges the timer with your wifi connection. Distance should be within 50 feet if possible.

Answer:	It’s based off of the time you set it. If it’s 8 am and I set it to water for 15 min every 12 hours it will dearer at 8 pm and 8 am.

Answer:	This is meant to work with very low pressure systems, like a gravity feed tank set up. It does work with a regular garden hose connections, but if you're using a higher pressure tap you may want to look for one that is more specific. Question:	Can this be used with a splitter (or some call it a Y valve)? I want to put a timer on a soaker hose and not have to take it off for the regular hose
Answer:	Yes drastically reduced water pressure. I tried to connect to a spout on a 500g rain barrel. I even removed the screen and only got a fast drip. The Orbit I’m replacing worked fine. However the Orbit only lasted 2 seasons.
Question:	What size hose does this connect to
Answer:	I tried to hook this up right at my hose reel and found that water pressure from the wrong direction makes the valve work backwards of what's expected. On when it should be off. Off when it should be on. The top of the control screen display should be facing your water source on this unit. It won't work the other way around. I think there should be an arrow.
Question:	Does this need water pressure to work? will it work on a low pressure rain barrel system
Answer:	Button in bottom right - the finger - hit it once. Then the + for how many minutes. Then hit the finger button again. It will manually water and your next sequence will run as programmed.

Answer:	You might try stacking timers. For structure fire protection, I need to have nearby dry grass moistened during the sunlit, drying hours. I need "ON" for two minutes out of every ("FREQUENCY") five minutes, starting about 8 a.m. and ending about 8 p.m. (and OFF, overnight). Can't do this with only ONE timer. Solution: One timer programmed "Start Time"- 8 a.m., "How Long" - 12 hours, "How Often" - 24 hours Second timer (connected to the same tap for the two timers in SERIES, if you think of it as an electrical analogue) Second timer programmed "Start Time" - 8 a.m., "How Long" - 2 minutes, "How Oftern" - 5 minutes Result: 40% watering duration (2 minutes out of every 5 minutes) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Flammable vegetation dampened throughout dayligh/drying hours, without wasting water overnight.
