Question:	Can this reel cart potentially hold 300 ft of 3/4 inch hose (as opposed to 5/8 inch)? And if so, would the hose connection affect flow rate
Answer:	I've got 100 ft on both of my reels and they handle that load very well. There is some room for more hose but going to 300 ft is probably beyond the reels capability

Answer:	I have a 100 foot long hose that rolled up without problem. I am very impressed with everything about this cart works very well, even though I do not think the little nylon feet on the ends will last, time will tell. I recently rolled the cart over 300 feet of grass so I could have it near a yard debris burning just in case. It was a breeze. The bicycle wheels are far superior to the smaller 3-4" wheels.
Question:	Has anyone found a plastic rimmed, flat-free tire replacement that will work on this cart? The rust on mine looks so horrible; I want to replace
Answer:	The rims and tires on this cart are the same rims found on a child's 16" bicycle. You might try a local bicycle shop for something that suits your purpose but try to bring a wheel from the cart to verify the fit to the axle since these bicycles use various sizes of axles. Unfortunately, I don't know of any plastic, nylon or other rust proof rims available for this size bicycle but I am not saying there aren't any. Most bicycles for this age group use traditional steel rims with wire spokes as are on the cart because many buyers of these bicycles are very keen on saving money on a bicycle for a tot that will outgrow them in one or two years. Who knows? There may be aluminum wheels out there that will be exactly what you want. Be aware, however, that cost of such a wheel will probably cost a good deal more than replacing your current wheel with one identical to what you already have. Flat free tires are another story and may be available but are they cost effective when the price of a new tube is only 3 - 5 dollars.
Question:	Are these made in the USA or in China
Answer:	I'm not sure where it is made but I will say that the claims about no rust are bogus. Mine had rusted and had paint pealing off in less than a year. It's not all it's cracked up to be in my opinion. It's a rust bucket! So I would assume it's made in China.

Answer:	You can buy replacement tires with wheel for $5 each at Harbor Freight Tools.

Answer:	no. this is a Chinese product unfortunately. but you can change the hose and install an rv hose that are usually white in color.

Answer:	These have 4ea 3"x10" tires.
Question:	Mine leaks by the bib coupling any suggestions
Answer:	Defective part. Call the company to see if they send you so new bib. The frame rusts easy also. Eventually you will have to paint it. I stylike mine despite the flaws.

Question:	Whatt is distance between holes? Want to know since brick wall already has two screws installed 2 1/2 inches apart vertically
Answer:	Yes it does or should. You may have to use pliers to grasp the hose end. In my case, the end is shorter than normal & should come off. Mine was not attached upon delivery. Hint, always add a shutoff valve to the hose. It eliminates this issue, saves water, and allows you to shut off for convenience.
Question:	How many inches “deep” is this? How many inches does it stick out from the wall
Answer:	Dear customer, this is made in China.
Question:	What is it made of
Answer:	You are correct that there are 3 different descriptions of the main hose length, which at best is very confusing. Giraffe, please fix this! I think you are safe to assume it is 114ft, despite the other answer who says they received a 90ft hose - that would clearly be a mistake that Giraffe would make right I'd expect. Note how on the 90ft product that the main hose is 84ft and the lead in hose is 6ft. so clearly they have added the two together to advertise the product as 90ft i.e. with the largest number possible - a tried and tested marketing technique, though perhaps disingenuous. So therefore, for the "130ft" product, it seems clear that it is actually 114ft + the 6ft lead in hose to make the 120ft advertised in the description. It seems someone decided to add another 10ft to the title so it looked better than the competitors. Again a questionable technique that makes me trust Giraffe less. Giraffe, if your product is good, it will sell, you don't need the smoke and mirrors with these numbers... please consider fixing it.

Answer:	Usually mine stays right in the backyard,because thats where the hose connection is. But when I have had to move the cart it was easy.

Answer:	It seems every hose reel cart under $200 on Amazon had complaints about rust. I took this as a given and heeded the warning by, before assembling, wiping down all the parts with denatured alcohol and spray painted with Rustoleum "sand" color paint (it was an exact match). I also painted the wheels (not the tires) with glossy, black spray paint. After I put it together, I painted all the nuts, bolts and rivets with the sand colored paint - it looks even better than it did out of the box. I detach it from the water source after each use and store it in a shed. Many of the complains about rust were from people who showed photos that they didn't follow the instructions in the manual to avoid rust; if you left a new, $3000 bicycle outside, in tall grass and the elements, it would rust too. I admit that I'm "so extra" as my teenager says and what I did is not for everyone, just understand the limitations of the reels and act accordingly. You could also try covering it with a BBQ grill cover or similar.
Question:	Hose is not included
Answer:	Cart will move around when rolling up unless weight applied. I find it helpful to rest my weight on one of the tires. It will not tip when rolling up hose if you manually move some of the hose closer to the cart. Very difficult to reel in hose that is fully extended 200 or 300 feet. Cart does not weather well. You will need to store indoors.

Question:	Does anyone use this on sloped terrain? Curious if this is better suited for flat terrain without wheel brakes
Answer:	There are no brakes on this cart. If you need to use it on a hill, you would want the cart to be below where you will be watering, with the wheels pointing across the slope of the hill so that you can pull the hose out without tipping the cart over sideways, and so the cart doesn't roll down the hill. If you have to pull the hose out on a down slope, you may have to pull out the hose by hand, one arm's worth at a time, while holding the cart upright.

Question:	How does the lead attached to the reel? I want to mount the reel about 6 feet away from the water source
Answer:	You roll up the hose manually by turning a crank handle on the front of the drum. The hose must be aligned to the side so that it wraps around the drum as you crank the handle.

Answer:	By the way, the o-rings inside the unit are size #12 in plumbing at big box. That is, 13/16 OD, 5/8 ID, 3/32 thick. No leaks after replacing and using a thin coat of silicone grease.

Answer:	Yes, you can get this set with 4" tips, in either the Sharp or regular point.

Answer:	You get 4 circular cables in lengths 16", 24", 32", and 40", they connect to the small tips (sizes 2-8). If you own or buy the larger tips (sizes 9-15) you can get tip adapters to still use these cables. But if you buy the sock size tips (0-1.5) you will need to buy sock cables, these won't work with the sock size tips.

Question:	What is the diameter of the leader hose? No need to buy a 3/4 inch hose if the leader gose is 5/8 I figure
Answer:	This is precisely what’s keeping me from buying it. We have amazing pressure and 3/4” hoses/faucet. No way I’m downsizing with a smaller diameter output.
Question:	Does this work with hot water
Answer:	My hose reel of this exact type sits in the sun. It gets very hot. I've not seen a problem with the reel. I'm more concerned with the hose being able to handle hot water. If it does, be careful to not wind when hot or you could cut the water flow off if the hose was wound too tightly.
Question:	How well does this mount to vinyl siding
Answer:	The reel is heavy so you will need to make sure you have solid wood backing behind the siding to anchor it to and unless you used some type on spacers at the variations in the siding you would crush the siding. The attachement bars on the reel are at holes 16" on center.I have aluminum siding and installed a 4x6 in the ground with 2x4 crossbars to attach the reel to avoid the hassle of dealing with the siding. Answer:	Yes. I mounted mine into the mortar (between the bricks). Could also be mounted INTO the brick. Either way, use anchors made to do this. Available at your favorite hardware store. I don't recommend concrete screws.

Answer:	Holes are 10" apart vertically, centered on the plate which is 5" wide.

Answer:	The entire thing swivels around (360 degrees) so you can have the handle and the hose connection on either side.

Answer:	No. It turns easily when winding the hose back on. Rotating the direction of the wheel is a little tricky, but easy when you figure out how the stop works. Nothing about this device requires great strength.
Question:	Why is this so expensive? It's $99.00 at Lowes
Answer:	I placed mine on a 6x6 post. The mounting bracket is 6" wide; the attachment hole spacing is centered vertically. So, it is possible that it could work on a 4x4 post, but the mounting bracket would extend beyond the sides of the post.

Answer:	No you will want to completely remove the hose from the old reel and wind it onto this one. One of the benefits of this caddy is the superior construction and operation of the whole unit.

Answer:	no. and, my husband put the 100 ft heavy duty hose on it and its just too heavy to move. use one of the new light weight ones (then you don't need the cart?). i am not in love with it. its short and the hose will pop off, spewing water. you can reattach but its hard.
