Answer:	About 5/8”. The hose diameter doesn’t change appreciably when you turn on the hose, but it will double in length when back-pressure (when using a sprayer) fills it. It’s really quite a great hose. The only thing I don’t like is that the fabric material that covers it lets it get dirty. However, it’s a garden hose, so I really don’t care. Uncompressed it’ll sit in a shoe box, so you don’t need a reel or anything. Just a little hose bucket.

Answer:	The wire inside the vinyl that gives the hose its shape can certainly be bent to squeeze through a 1" slot but the resulting restriction would render the unit essentially non functional.

Even though heat would not be an issue (except for sun generated attic heat), flexible or solid metal vents would not be susceptible to punctures (nails and rodents) and would presumably last the as long as the house.

SO, unless you are trying to do something special by building your own hose with specialized connectors. You should have no problem with this product. You would be able to get more hose on the reel, due to its smaller diameter.

Answer:	The warranty is lifetime. My first hose got a leak so you have to cut the damaged part out and send it back to Swan. I think it cost me like $2.00 to send it to them. They sent me a brand new hose through the mail. I always buy Swan brand. I do wish the hose was more flexible. But I buy it for the warranty.

Answer:	The company is Colorite Plastics. I see two states; marion OH, and Ridgefield NJ. don't buy this hose. Its cheap and kinks easily. Years ago when it was still Swan it was a great hose and even stayed pliable in winter. Now its like any other useless plastic. I don't know what they did to the formula, but its not what it used to be.

Answer:	My hose was neither soft nor supple. Constant kinking, and very difficult to coil. The only exception occurred on warm days when it was out in the sun for a while. Then it was okay. Unfortunately, I live in a cool climate.

Answer:	I attach this hose to a large shop vac so the dust is blown outside. I might use it in a shop but only temporarily till I install a solid rigid system. The hose works great for my use since I'm gentle with it. Because of the possibility of fire it is not wise to use it for a dryer as it was originally designed for. Hope this helps!

Answer:	as long as there are no kinks to restrict the flow I don't see why not

Answer:	I would hate to give you a definitive "no", but, unlike a rubber hose, the brass connectors appear to be custom fit for the type of hose. My concern would be tearing the hose while attempting to remove the connector. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I have one that is almost the same and i just hook the sprinkler on it and put the sprinkler on it then go back to the spout and turn on the water. It works fine.

Answer:	Ours broke exactly 30 days after the purchase date (realistically by the time I got to hook it up, we only used it for about 2 weeks - maybe 5-6 times total). I didn't get to look into it right then and there, so the only option I found was calling Amazon's customer support line the next day and they informed me this item only has a 30 day return policy. The Amazon rep was kind enough to send me a return label, and once I ship the broken hose back they'll refund the full amount. It looks like trying to chase down the seller is a waste of time, so hopefully Amazon can help you out. Definitely not buying another one of these... sure they look nice but the poor quality defeats the purpose!
