Answer:	SG, in an effort to avoid sales-y language coming from one of the two brands in question, we'll stick to the overall differences between the two controllers (and leave it to other customers to talk about their own experiences with the B-hyve):- B-hyve can be installed in indoor or outdoor settings, as opposed to Rachio being indoor-only- B-hyve comes in 6- and 12-station models, while Rachio comes in 8- and 16-station models - B-hyve is fully programmable from both the app and at the timer with buttons/screen to make any manual adjustments needed, while Rachio is programmed solely from the app with no controls/screen at the actual timer- Orbit’s B-hyve models typically retail at $100 and $120, while Rachio’s models typically retail at $200 and $250
Question:	How does the smart watering featuring obtain the weather conditions? What service does it use
Answer:	Looked on the Orbit web site, discussion board - lots posted there about this subject: seems there is lots of frustration about Orbit not providing an ETA for google home/assistant compatibility. AND, again, according to Orbit's posts - they are not sure if google home compatibility will be a software upgrade or if WE WILL HAVE TO BUY A NEW 2ND GENERATION UNIT.
Question:	How does this compare to Rachio
Answer:	This is a definite yes. You can can control one or several plugs with several devices with smart phones using the Meross app or echo devices with “Alexa commands” or google home control with “ok google commands.” The Meross app allows you to name or rename each device you control. It’s all pretty flexible.

Question:	Does this work with rain bird sprinkler system
Answer:	You will be replacing the rain bird controller with the Rachio. I swapped out my rain bird and it works fine. Just make sure you are labeling each wire with the zone number it is connected to before disconnecting the rain bird. When you connect the Rachio, match the labels and you'll be fine. If you are installing this outdoors, make sure you buy the outdoor housing (sold separately).
Question:	Does this have a setting for a delay between zones? The controller i'm replacing does not have this delay,it switches between zones fast, hammers pipe
Answer:	Yes, at least with my gen 3, a feature to reduce water hammer will turn on the next zone 10 seconds early allowing no abrupt stop at the end of a zone run. Excerpt from Rachio help: What is Rachio's "Minimize Water Hammer" setting? With this setting, your Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller will open the 'next' scheduled zone to run in a watering schedule, 10 seconds prior to the end time of the current zone that is running.
Question:	Can it be hard wired from the modem/router with cat5 or 6? no wifi where it would be installed. does it have an ethernet data port
Answer:	No. The Rachio 3 unit can only be connected via WiFi, though a number of users have asked for direct Ethernet connectivity in future versions.
Question:	I have a zone that is under cover and never gets rain. Does the Rachio 3 allow for one zone to run regardless of rain while other zones don't
Answer:	Despite the answers above, the answer is YES. You can create a separate schedule just for the zone you desire and make it a fixed schedule. You can turn off all the features and that will make it run even if it’s raining or windy or whatever. Than create schedules for the rest of the zones with all the weather features you like.

Question:	Can you manually turn on zones from the unit itself without the use of a phone
Answer:	If you remove the front cover, there are buttons for selecting a zone and running it manually. There are LEDs in a circle around the Rachio logo, numbered to match the sprinkler zones as you select your target zone. Once the zone you wish to water is highlighted, simply press the manual run button. Good in an emergency, but this unit's primary use case is using the app or website.
Question:	Does this work if wifi is down? What watering schedule does it revert to in this case? Will the app alert me
Answer:	The Iro utilizes EEPROM, persistent memory, so the last saved schedule(s) are stored on the device itself. So Please rest assured knowing that if the Iro loses connectivity with your WiFi, it will always continue to water using the last saved. Any updates/changes to these watering schedules will upload to the Iro the next time it reconnects with the cloud. You will receive an e-mail notifying you that it is off line.

Answer:	Yes. You can manually start/stop each zone individually from the app, as well as adjust how many minutes each zone is on.
Question:	What's are the differences between gen 1 and gen
Answer:	The sync up is totally different in that just approaching the devise with you smart devise it will ask for the serial number and then you are linked with the unit. There are several manual cycles when you do not have wifi available during initial installation. There is the function of the using flow sensors in the future. There is much more space for the valve wires. There is the visual of what valve is operating during the irrigation cycle on the controller to name a few.

Answer:	You should reset the unit by interrupting power and remove the lithium battery and then reinstall battery and restore power. Then reprogram unit.
Question:	I programmed my esp-tm2 for each of the 8 zones to run for 12 minutes at 4am. will all 8 zones run at 4am for 12 minutes or run one after another
Answer:	They run sequentially not all at the same time. Your program will probably start at 4:00 a.m. by running zone 1 and then progress up through zone 8. Your program should end 96 minutes after it starts so that would be at 5:36 a.m. It will repeat this cycle for each day of the week that you set it to run that program (eg., Program # 1). Hope this is helpful.

Answer:	No this unit does not come with a power cord since it can be installed outside and then power run from a power source. You can use an old extension cord as long as the wiring is of the same gauge wiring an then cut off what you need and then connect the two sets of wiring. You can also go to any hardware store and pickup a 3 prong plug that will allow you to connect the wiring from the controller to your power source but in this scenario you may have to purchase additional wiring of the same gauge.

Answer:	Yes - The wifi adapter on the timer just needs to be in wifi range at all times. My mother lives 20 miles from me and I control her system through the app on my phone. Works great and a pretty good price for good timer.

Question:	Does this come with a sensor
Answer:	The controller uses a 24vac power supply. It comes with a plug in 120vac to 24vac power plug, you would need to order a step down for 220vac to 24vac
Question:	At 24 volts for sprinkler valve coils what is the maximum current draw for a coil, is current overload adjustable to determine a bad valve
Answer:	1) If your mobile device password (in the Rainbird app) does not match the Rainbird cloud server password it won't connect. Try resetting the PW. 2) Remove front cover of the Rainbird Controller then depress the wifi reset button (lower left module). That will reboot the wifi and it should start blinking green again. 3) If that doesn't restore operation I would reboot your system wifi router in the house (unplug for 10 secs). 4) If that doesn't work look at what channel your house wifi is operating on. Too much congestion on a channel can interfere with the RainBird wifi's ability to communicate with your house wifi. There are 11 channels on 2.4GHZ. I experience some connection difficulties if I am out in the back yard a distance away from the controller box. Sometimes just closing all apps on my phone helps. It gets finicky but its nice to turn on a zone without having to manually open a valve.
Question:	If I use the spruce controller and sensor - can I still use smartthings routines and alexa to control
Answer:	Yes. Make sure you read the instructions once; take pictures of the existing zone wire connections to mimic on the new Rain Bird WiFi sprinkler. It's 10 min job !

Answer:	Program C is associated with the controller not the module so i would say the controller but it could be something in the programming. You can contact our tech department for more assistance if needed.
Question:	I have a wired rain sensor on my current 6 station Hunter. Can I attach a wired rain sensor to this
Answer:	It would still be a good idea to have a rain/freeze sensor on your system for the best performance. The LNK-WIFI will get weather information from a local weather station and can adjust the irrigation run times based on the weather data it receives. It does not have the ability to shut down your irrigation completely when it rains, however, which is the purpose of the WR2RFC rain/freeze sensor. Using both gives you the best weather controlled irrigation system.
Question:	Is the weather info available out of the USA
Answer:	It would have to be manufactured after Nov 2016 and it would have a WiFi Logo on the front panel. Although yours has the 5 pin slot, it will not recognise the WiFI module.Thank you

Most rain-sensing devices work by accumulating a set amount of rainfall before a switch is activated that interrupts the circuit from the controller and shuts off the system. In that "accumulation time", the system will unnecessarily continue to water. This can look especially bad for conservation-conscious municipalities, businesses and residences.

• Wireless Rain-Click can command a controller to shut off right when it starts to rain
• The Rain-Click can be mounted on an eave or any flat vertical surface like a wall or fence
• A gutter mount is also available that allows for easy installation of the Rain-Click on the edge of a gutter
• If the Wireless Rain Sensor transmitter needs replacement and the unit has a wire antenna (about 4-5 inches long) you will need to replace both the sensor and the receiver with the WR-CLIK.

Question:	The photo provided does not show a mount that I can see. I want to mount it to a flat vertical surface. Is that possible
Answer:	It comes with a mounting bracket and screw so you can mount it about anywhere. My preference was to mount it to a rain gutter on the least-windy side of the house (east side), protected from south and north winds (and hail) as much as possible.
Question:	Is it adjustable and what is its range in inches
Answer:	It is adjustable, I just matched the previous unit to the new unit. It is about 15 feet on the other side of a cinder block wall. Don't know the max range, but this unit works great.
Question:	What does the date code on the box mean? is that the expected battery life? the sell by date? warranty coverage date? please clarify
Answer:	The battery was dead on my WRCLIK-TR transmitter, so I called the manufacturer to see if it was still under warranty. The 10-year warranty is valid from the date annotated on the bottom of the unit. My transmitter was stamped with "2012", and it's now 2020, so that's within the 10-year warranty. The technician was super friendly, and I now have a new transmitter being shipped to me free of charge :-)
Question:	My old Rain-Clik was made in 2010. Will this work or do I need to buy a whole new sensor and receiver
Answer:	Hi Jason - if your current transmitter has a flexible wire antenna, then this transmitter will not work with your current system. When Hunter re-designed the transmitter with a hard, rigid antenna, they also changed the operating frequency. So the new style transmitter will not work with an old receiver. However, you have options! Hunter Wireless Rain Clik sensors have a 10 year warranty on the battery. If the battery is the problem, then you can receive a free replacement unit. The only cost to you will be shipping to and from your location to the warranty provider that you choose. Or, you can find a local Hunter dealer and they should be able to provide the replacement. All Hunter dealers are supposed to transact warranty exchanges, but unfortunately, many choose not to provide that service. If it is not the battery, then you could choose to purchase an entire new unit (transmitter and receiver) with the new design, or find a vendor who still has some of the old wire antenna transmitters in stock. They would be several years old, but likely would have several years left with the expected battery life (10 year warranty, remember) and would be a more economical alternative in the immediacy. Answer:	In its mobile app, there is an option to turn off this option. If turned off, irrespective of weather, sprinkler will run at scheduled time.

Answer:	The settings you have saved in the system will still be valid. However you would not be able to change the settings unless you had access via internet. That is my understanding.
