Question:	Does this work with rain bird sprinkler system
Answer:	You will be replacing the rain bird controller with the Rachio. I swapped out my rain bird and it works fine. Just make sure you are labeling each wire with the zone number it is connected to before disconnecting the rain bird. When you connect the Rachio, match the labels and you'll be fine. If you are installing this outdoors, make sure you buy the outdoor housing (sold separately).
Question:	Does this have a setting for a delay between zones? The controller i'm replacing does not have this delay,it switches between zones fast, hammers pipe
Answer:	Yes, at least with my gen 3, a feature to reduce water hammer will turn on the next zone 10 seconds early allowing no abrupt stop at the end of a zone run. Excerpt from Rachio help: What is Rachio's "Minimize Water Hammer" setting? With this setting, your Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller will open the 'next' scheduled zone to run in a watering schedule, 10 seconds prior to the end time of the current zone that is running.
Question:	Can it be hard wired from the modem/router with cat5 or 6? no wifi where it would be installed. does it have an ethernet data port
Answer:	No. The Rachio 3 unit can only be connected via WiFi, though a number of users have asked for direct Ethernet connectivity in future versions.
Question:	I have a zone that is under cover and never gets rain. Does the Rachio 3 allow for one zone to run regardless of rain while other zones don't
Answer:	Despite the answers above, the answer is YES. You can create a separate schedule just for the zone you desire and make it a fixed schedule. You can turn off all the features and that will make it run even if it’s raining or windy or whatever. Than create schedules for the rest of the zones with all the weather features you like.

Question:	Can you connect a rain sensor to this device
Answer:	Yes, the timer supports a physical rain sensor in addition to the smart watering rain delays. The app does not currently recognize the physical rain sensor but the timer will work properly. Unplug the timer before connecting any external accessories including rain sensors.
Question:	How does the smart watering featuring obtain the weather conditions? What service does it use
Answer:	Be very wary of this feature. Where we live in Texas there is sometimes a weather forecast with "Rain". That might mean the briefest of showers - like 1 or 2 minutes, a handful of drops of rain - but it shuts the system down for 2 days. (I changed my location to Death Valley, California - apparently it hasn't rained there all year so my watering has not been shut off).
Question:	How does this compare to Rachio
Answer:	SG, in an effort to avoid sales-y language coming from one of the two brands in question, we'll stick to the overall differences between the two controllers (and leave it to other customers to talk about their own experiences with the B-hyve):- B-hyve can be installed in indoor or outdoor settings, as opposed to Rachio being indoor-only- B-hyve comes in 6- and 12-station models, while Rachio comes in 8- and 16-station models - B-hyve is fully programmable from both the app and at the timer with buttons/screen to make any manual adjustments needed, while Rachio is programmed solely from the app with no controls/screen at the actual timer- Orbit’s B-hyve models typically retail at $100 and $120, while Rachio’s models typically retail at $200 and $250
Question:	To the manufacturer (unless someone has inside info): If and when will it be google assistant compatable? If coming soon, I would buy today
Answer:	Looked on the Orbit web site, discussion board - lots posted there about this subject: seems there is lots of frustration about Orbit not providing an ETA for google home/assistant compatibility. AND, again, according to Orbit's posts - they are not sure if google home compatibility will be a software upgrade or if WE WILL HAVE TO BUY A NEW 2ND GENERATION UNIT.

Question:	Can you manually turn on zones from the unit itself without the use of a phone
Answer:	If you remove the front cover, there are buttons for selecting a zone and running it manually. There are LEDs in a circle around the Rachio logo, numbered to match the sprinkler zones as you select your target zone. Once the zone you wish to water is highlighted, simply press the manual run button. Good in an emergency, but this unit's primary use case is using the app or website.
Question:	Does this work if wifi is down? What watering schedule does it revert to in this case? Will the app alert me
Answer:	The Iro utilizes EEPROM, persistent memory, so the last saved schedule(s) are stored on the device itself. So Please rest assured knowing that if the Iro loses connectivity with your WiFi, it will always continue to water using the last saved. Any updates/changes to these watering schedules will upload to the Iro the next time it reconnects with the cloud. You will receive an e-mail notifying you that it is off line.
Question:	Can you manually start/stop zones via the app? When working on the system I would love to not walk back to the garage for this
Answer:	Yes. You can manually start/stop each zone individually from the app, as well as adjust how many minutes each zone is on.
Question:	What's are the differences between gen 1 and gen
Answer:	The sync up is totally different in that just approaching the devise with you smart devise it will ask for the serial number and then you are linked with the unit. There are several manual cycles when you do not have wifi available during initial installation. There is the function of the using flow sensors in the future. There is much more space for the valve wires. There is the visual of what valve is operating during the irrigation cycle on the controller to name a few.

Answer:	Once you set your program - it will last as long as the batteries last. Get some extra-strength batteries and you should be ok for two weeks.
Question:	Can this be programmed to spray every five minutes for the duration of one minute
Answer:	the directions you can set the water duration from 1 to 240 minutes. You can set the water frequency as every 6 hours, 12 hours, or from 1 to 7 days. Not sure if this will help you or not. I like the timer. We have them set up all over the property.
Question:	Can each port be programmed with independent frequencies
Answer:	On the TWO-PORT, each can be set independently. The Digital 2-Outlet Hose Timer also features a rain delay function designed to help conserve water by delaying watering time (for BOTH Ports) by 24, 48, or 72 hours. Programs can also be manually bypassed to allow for use of the faucet without interrupting the timed watering.
Question:	On the 2 valve system, can each valve be programmed separately or both run at the same time
Answer:	Each valve can be programmed separately, but they only run 1 at a time, even when programmed to begin at the same time. :(

Question:	Can you program in catch cup volumes like you can on the indoor/outdoor model
Answer:	Hi, this is Janice from Orbit! Yes, all B-hyve can use the catch cup programing even the hose timers 21005.
Question:	Can you turn off the weathersense feature
Answer:	Yes, but it’s not intuitive. You have to do a deep dive into the preferences settings. As I recall, there is one of the four programs that is set to weathersense and you have to turn that one off or set it up To behave like a standard channel. It’s been awhile so I don’t remember the details but you can definitely turn it off.
Question:	Dose it come with power supply cord
Answer:	It comes with a 24 volt AC power pack. One of those wall watt power supply. You run low voltage wires from that wall wart to the controller. I was replacing old controller and used the already existing transformer as the 24 VAC is standard for these.
Question:	Does this work with Alexa
Answer:	Yes. See https://www.amazon.com/Orbit-Irrigation-B-Hyve/dp/B01NAWBABM. I have one and Alexa can start it to watering or better yet tell me when it will be starting next as well as providing when last watered. I am happy with unit and think it provides good value. Mine is installed in a protected area inside a garage and has replaced a 20 year old electronic timer. This is far superior in convenience. Even if you use manual programs they are far easier to program on this than on the older systems. Smart watering is the way to go though.

Answer:	This can handle up to 100 psi, but we don't recommend exceeding 85.
Question:	Need timer with start, stop, frequency and duration. Reason is i want it to run only from 6am to 6pm every hour for 10 min. Does this do that
Answer:	You can add multiple start times. I do not know,or there is an upper limit to how many.

Answer:	The battery only specific solenoid that comes with the timer unit should be screwed into the siphon valve just as you would any other ordinary solenoid. The cable attached to the solenoid plugs into the bottom of the timer unit. The timer unit comes with a bracket type holder that clips on the timer unit. There is an opening that enables the timer unit while attached to the bracket slides onto the top of the solenoid holding the timer unit in place. Hope this answer helps you.
Question:	Can this be mounted to a rainbird valve
Answer:	The rainbird valve's solenoid may have different threads, so the solenoid from this Orbit timer would have issues threading into the top of the valve.
Question:	How do i connect this as an anti siphon valve? the inlet is straight across and i need it to be 90 degree like dig solar powered timer
Answer:	Jessica, you will need to replace your current anti-siphon solenoid with the solenoid from this timer. The timer itself should clip on the vertical section of pipe.
Question:	Can I just swap the DC solenoid onto the existing irrigation valve
Answer:	It all depends on what the existing valve is. As long as the valve is a plastic (light green) Orbit valve, it should work. I have it connected to Orbit Automatic Converter Valve (Part #57029) and it works fine. However, the DC solenoid is incompatible with the heavier duty Orbit brass bodied valves.

Answer:	You can find the planned schedule as well as previously run schedules inside the app. When using rain data it will subtract the amount of rain in the forecast from the amount it is scheduled to water. This may cause it to skip multiple days or just water less that day depending on the amount of rain and the amount of water on the schedule. We appreciate your interest. Answer:	Seems to me either system is overkill for such a small yard. I will say this, however: The Netro system seems very good so far. My lawn looks amazing. It's not being over-watered, and I'm following all of the local water regulations in a very drought-prone area in Central California. Unless Netro offers a smaller system, 12 zones is your option. If you're into home automation, you can't go wrong.

Answer:	No ! Not at the controller but at the solenoid valves you can manually open and close each valve individually.

Answer:	Android Headlines states that the mid-May 2017 firmware update includes native support for the Google Assistant. But I can't find anything on the Blossom support page (support.myblossom.com) about use with Google Assistant. There are instructions for using the Blossom 7 with Amazon Alexa. I would assume that the Google Assistant interface is similar. If you want details pre-purchase you can always call Blossom Support at 855-976-5315. I found them to be very helpful when I called a few weeks ago.
Question:	What happens if the power goes out or surges? Does it have a short-term backup battery so you don't have to completely reset your schedules
Answer:	There is no need for a backup. The watering “schedule”, if you can call it that, is set by the Blossom itself and is stored in your account “in the cloud.” If you choose to set specific watering durations, times, etc., that too is backed up to cloud. In the event of a power failure, everything is restored upon power being restored.

Question:	can this controller replace the 1260bi controller
Answer:	Not sure why Amazon is having me answer for this particular controller. I have the Rain Bird indoor controller. I think the key things you have to ask yourself are - 1 whether your old controller is an outdoor controller and if so, is this new Rain Bird controller and outdoor one. You don’t want to mount an indoor controller outside 2 - how many zones do you have in your system and does this new Rain Bird controller have the capacity to water all your zones. For example, my yard has 7 zones and my controller can manage up to 8 zones. I think if you can handle these questions, you should be good to go. Going from controller brand to another brand really doesn’t matter. My old controller was a Hunter and I went with a Rain Bird when I needed a new controller.
Question:	can I use it for 16 stations
Answer:	This is a 12 zone model. It can be used for 12 "zones." If you need 16, you'll need a different solution.
Question:	Does this controller hold time/date and schedule in memory in case of power outage
Answer:	Yes, this is outlined in manual. Download the pdf manual from rain bird and all questions will be answered.
Question:	Does the rainbird wireless rain sensor work with this unit
Answer:	Yes, I have the Rain Bird WRT-RFC and I wired my sensor to this unit. You will need a separate transformer ( I got mine from Home Depot for around $14.00) It is the Rain Bird UT1 transformer. You will cut off the end connector and splice the wires from the transformer to the WRT rain sensor (red to red; black to black) the remaining wires ( 1 green, 1 white will go into the sensor input on the controller after pulling out the yellow clip. Do all of this with the unit and separate transformer unplugged. It will work like a charm.
