Answer: | Local codes apply in all cases first before you attempt any advise. If you need length on a one way drain from a washing machine or sink try a check valve that can be easily inspected if it clogs with pipe sludge. Otherwise, get 2 couplings and cut in a section of common pipe and score the inside edges of pipe at an angle to prevent hair and the such collecting in the extended section. YouTube is a great help for a visual on this. |
