Answer:	Succulents seem to grow in just about anything and do not need a lot of moisture once they have rooted. Coir by contrast is very good at retaining moisture as well as, shall I say, accepting moisture, i.e. it does not repel water when it is completely dry like other products do. Hence it is excellent for germinating seeds.

Answer:	I use it in lieu of potting soil in small window sill pots. It expands to 3 or 4 times its original size when watered, so you need to keep that in mind.

Answer:	You will need to add nutrients for the earthworms for be happy... compost would be a much better choice. This product was fantastic for my needs... light and small but with water became a big pile (wheelbarrow full, I guess) but I was just adding it to the top of a flower bed and then I added nutrients for the plants... I don’t believe this soil has any nutritional value for earth worms at all... if you need a huge pile, it might work if you add a little compost and then some quickly biodegrading items like bananas so the worms would grow quickly and multiply. That would be great for the students.

Fruit production requires more phosphorus than this fertilizer can provide. I always have excellent fruit production with 10-10-10.

Answer:	I am not an expert but I do use this soil in and outside. I notice it makes all my plants stronger. I have been using it for several years. As the worms shed their “skin” and get new levels the old can be found in the dirt.

Answer:	We are growing cucumbers in it, and our plants are covered in yellow flowers. We planted very late and we unfortunately don’t get enough sun in that area. So far we have just two small cucumbers, but I can’t blame the soil. I recommend using fertilizer when you water.

Replanting a Raised Bed, or Starting a New Bed:

One 3 lb. bag will nourish one 4' x 4' raised bed for up to 2 months, be sure to use the entire bag. Answer:	For tomatoes and herbs, you're pretty much good to go with this soil. If you want, you could add a tiny bit of perlite for drainage but this soil is very good as is. Good luck with your harvesting!
Question:	I have noticed that Miracle-Gro potting soil often has fungus gnats. Has anyone had the same problem with this potting soil
Answer:	Miracle Grow does have fungus gnats. Especially the nature's cure brand. I've used the Black gold organic potting soil a few times, indoor and outdoor, and have never seen a fungus gnat anywhere. Plus it's more like real dirt rather then the soft and unpredictable coco coir base. Besides grow is a subsidiary company of Monsanto. Monsanto is probably the largest GMO producing company in the world. I wouldn't trust miracle grow organic or not.

Answer:	The white things are small pieces of perlite. It keeps the soil loose and helps it stay aerated. Most potting soils will have this.

Answer:	First off this is worm pooh, so you dont want to feed worms there own pooh, this stuff is gardening soil fertilizer. If you trying to raise worms, you want dirt, woodchips/chainsaw shaving and outmeal, and look for a worm tank for best results. If you want good worms to start with go to a local bait store if there is any in your area and get a couple of dozen of them. any produce scraps, as well as fresh cut grass can be thrown in the dirt to feed your worms. Hope this helps since no one is actually telling you the right way to raise worms.
