    User questions & answers

    Question: Does this attract gnats
Answer: So far no sign of attracting any gnats. But I will continue to watch for this and will provide update is I start to see some. I can say that my three citrus trees are really showing healthy growth like I’ve never seen with any other fertilizer (I have a kumquat, lemon, and blood orange)
Question: can it be used on houseplants
Answer: yes, however it would be best to add some fresh soil along with the Azomite. mostly houseplant soils are tired.
Question: How is this different from wine making bentonite that costs a fraction of the price and is also montmorillonite
Answer: No, Bentonite is an absorbent aluminum phyllosilicate. AZOMITE® is a Hydrated Sodium Calcium Aluminosilicate (HSCAS), and does not swell. Off the Azomite website...Chemically it is hydrated sodium calcium aluminium magnesium silicate hydroxide (Na,Ca)0.33(Al,Mg)2(Si4O10)(OH)2·nH2O. (bentonite)Azomite off an MSDS is NaK2Ca5A13Si21O706H20 so comparing the two a bit differently laid out; and not the same mineral. Azomite has a LOT of trace things, off their site there is a representative sample run through a mass spectrometer... so they are NOT the same thing. That's the fancy answer. The plain answer, it's not the same, bentonite can be used as it will expand, in drilling muds, to seal ponds so they hold water, and as a clarifier or filler depending on how it's prepared. Azomite is a trace mineral bearing volcanic origin dust type clay and is mostly prepared for and used for adding trace minerals to feed and for soil additive for raising food.
Question: how much to give to sheep
Answer: I have 11 sheep, I give them 1-2 cups of Azomite a day. If they leave some in the tub, I give them less the next day. Pregnant ewes and lambs need more. I observed little lambs eating fresh dirt from a gopher mound and offered them Azomite. The lambs licked it up like candy. Since then, I always offer it to the sheep.
    Question: Will this raise PH
Answer: Never trust cheap dual prong pH meters. Lol. Azomite is mined in Utah. While it has many unique properties, it's basic component is the calcium found in caliche. So logic dictates that it will raise pH levels.

    User questions & answers

Question: What is the solution (NPK) on this
Answer: There is no such listing as "NPK" on the ingredient percentages
Question: What is the percentage of nitrogen, phosphate and potassium in the fertilizer
Answer: This fertilizer is 4-4-4. The first number indicates 4% nitrogen, second 4% phosphorus and the third 4% potassium. The best way is to incorporate 4 pounds of 4-4-4 per 100 sq.ft. prior to planting. This kind of fertilizer is called "all purpose" fertilizer. My recommendation is that you analyze your soil with an inexpensive test kit (Amazon has them). Then decide what you want to grow and research on-line what the optimum fertilization ranges are for your specific plants or vegetables. Then, if you incorporate the all purpose fertilizer into you soil before planting you can spot supplement with specific fertilizers as needed. There are many organic solutions available to you. The great thing about Jobe's -09526 is that it is organic so you will be starting off the right way. Lots of luck with your plants.
Question: For a potted meyer lemon tree, how much should I use
Answer: My lemon tree is only about 2 ft. tall and has been inside all winter. I added 1 3/4C. Jobe's fertilizer and watered it well. that was two days ago and it appears to be doing very well. Because my tree has been inside I have been misting the leaves every day.It had about 50 blossoms on it and is very healthy. I hope to plant it in the ground in April or May.,
Question: what are the actual ingredients
Answer: Protein Hydrolysate from feather meal, bone meal, composted poultry manure, sulfate of potash and various bacteria, endomycorrhizae, ectomycorrhzae and archaea.

Bone Meal 3-15-0 Plus 24% Calcium Greenway Biotech Brand 25 Pounds

Based on 43 reviews Check latest price

    Product description

Gardening is a joy to many people and it gets more exciting when what you have nurtured and watered grows to be strong and healthy-of course, some added nutrients to fertilizer is an advantage to the plants. However, nothing is much better for your plant than an organic fertilizer. Greenway Biotech's bone meal 3-15-0 fertilizer is a pure and organic fertilizer made from cows who were fed an organic and non-GMO diet. This optimal plant nutritional content fertilizer contains 3% nitrogen, 15% phosphorus, and 24% organic calcium. Phosphorus is necessary for plant root growth, seed germination, and blooming, while nitrogen is essential for protein synthesis in the cells and tissues of nearly every living organism on earth--plant and animal. Calcium is another essential natural mineral that helps produce strong buds and blooms while reinforcing root strength and preventing "blossom end rot" in some plants such as tomatoes and cucumbers. Since bones are primarily made from calcium, the animal bone meal is a great choice for inexpensive sources of calcium in fertilizers. Greenway's organic bone meal fertilizer is pure unadulterated and free from pesticides and hormones. As we've learned in high school biology, plants need all of these essential elemental nutrients from the soil in addition to sunlight and water for photosynthesis to occur. Without the right combination or amounts of these essentials, plants can, at best, be less productive, or at worst, die. Fertilizer is essential to plant food that ensures the right combination of nutrients for beautiful long-lasting blooms for floral display or food consumption. No matter what kind of gardening you do, this bone meal fertilizer will provide your plants with the organic fertilizer components they need to thrive. Thank You for Considering Us!

    Sustainability

We understand that we only have one Earth and it's up to us to take care of it!

We're doing our part by offering heavy metal free fertilizers that feed your plants the nutrients they need without harming the environment.

We even carry fertilizers suitable for Hydroponics to encourage fellow gardeners to practice cultivation methods that reduce water usage.

Meanwhile, our high quality, natural supplements encourage a shift away from synthetic medicine and towards a more holistic approach for personal wellness.

    Charitable Contributions

There's no better feeling than giving back to one's community and we decided the best way to do this was by creating our very own non-profit organization, Greenway Foundation.

One percent of all our sales are donated to Greenway Foundation to supply our students with adequate gardening supplies and inspire them to make healthy lifestyle choices by learning basic gardening practices.

AZOMITE - 20 Pounds Bulk Bag of Certified Organic Trace Mineral Fertilizer by PowerGrow

Based on 70 reviews Check latest price

    Product description

AZOMITE is an acronym for the "A to Z of minerals including trace elements". An estimated 30 million years ago, a volcanic eruption filled a nearby seabed. The unique combination of seawater, fed by rivers rich in minerals and rare earth elements present in the volcanic ash created the composition known as the AZOMITE mineral deposit. AZOMITE is mined here in Utah, just over 40 miles from the PowerGrow Systems warehouse where it is packaged in its purest 100% Organic form as a micronized easily used powder. Vegetable and Flower Garden Use: Flowers, plants and vegetables may all benefit from the trace minerals in AZOMITE. Gardeners report increased germination rates, improved yield, more and brighter colored flower blossoms, an increase in resistance to pests and disease and tastier vegetables. Higher brix readings (a measurement of the quality of the sugars and proteins in a plant's sap) have been reported in vegetables grown with AZOMITE. Application Guidelines: When preparing soil, customers have reported an average of 30% improvement with AZOMITE treatment at the rate of 1/4 cup per plant. For larger areas, we recommend two 44 lb bags per acre (based on rows approximately 18" apart with plants 12" apart). If the bed is established, sprinkle around each plant. AZOMITE should be applied with compost, humus, manures, or other fertilizers to provide additional levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. AZOMITE will not burn plants. For houseplants, mix 1 teaspoon per 2 inch pot diameter with potting soil before planting. Give 1 teaspoon quarterly thereafter. For roses, start with 1/4 lb. to the soil around each plant and lightly till into soil. Listing includes 20 pounds of Organic AZOMITE by POWERGROW SYSTEMS.
