User questions & answers

Question: Works for golden pothos
Answer: You must keep your pets off the lawn until you water it in and the lawn completely dries. I gave it a few extra days because the pellets do not all dissolve at the same time. I had better luck using a product with a hose and sprayer and liquid product. Also children should stay off the lawn the same amount of time.
Question: Does this work on orchids outside
Answer: I experienced no problems around my plants. I have found all the Bonide products work as well or better than advertised. I went to their website. It's very informative.
Question: Does this kill the thrips
Answer: I don't know what Rollie pollies are and don't recall ever seeing them in my area. I live in Michigan and I have slugs when it's very wet and humid. This product is the best thing I've ever found for riding them from my yard. I'm sorry I've never seen these in my yard and I've been here over thirty years. Must be found in a warmer climate then here, our winter's are long and cold. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Question: Can you use this in conjunction with bti, or will the bonide kill the bti? have both to use to eradicate fungus gnats
Answer: Cutworms are not a listed controlled pest.

User questions & answers

Question: Can this be used for muhly grass outside
Answer: I have not tried it but as long as you dilute it I don't see why not.I would try a small hidden area first to test it out.
Question: Is this good for dwarf canvendish banana trees
Answer: I use this product for my dwarf fig trees it works well . I have dwarf fig on my balcony.
Question: Why does the bottle say not to store diluted product
Answer: I read that too and wondered the same. I thought maybe by making the solution and store it the water would evaporate and the fertilizer would be stronger and harm your plants That was my guess anyway. When I make the solution in a gallon jug, i just make sure to use it within a couple days. BTW, all my indoor plants love it! I hope I helped.
Question: How many square feet does this give you
Answer: We used 1 kitchen teaspoon per gallon of water. So it all depends on how much water you use on the plants. We also stored leftover feed in an old milk jug written on all four sides for what it contains. Hope this helps.

User questions & answers

Question: Does it work for Magnolia Scale? Thank you
Answer: I use it to kill scales on my citrus plants but not sure this is Magnolia scale. Be careful not to put too much as this will 'shock' the plant and it will lose all its leaves and possibly die - I found this out the hard way. Best to use a modest amount and wait a week to see if scales are turning brown and thus dying. I recommend this product and will buy more
Question: Does this product get rid of scale
Answer: Only insects. If scale is caused by any non-insect disease, it won’t work. Google scale to find out.
Question: does this product take care of red spider mites
Answer: No. Spider mites are not insects they are mites. Regular insecticides will not kill spider mites and sometimes makes them worse. You have to use a miticide, neem oil but watch what you put that on it will kill or burn some plants or try Murphy's oil soap or dish soap mixed with water. Reapply in about 5 days to kill any newly hatched eggs.
Question: Why do I still see fungus gnats flying around after one week post-application? I thought it killed anything that ingested the pesticide
Answer: Treating fungus gnats requires a multi-prong approach to address all stages of its lifecycle (egg, larvae, pupae, adults). Treatments are not a "one-time only" kind of thing. What you see flying around is the adults whose main goal is to lay eggs in the moist soil. The adults do not feed on the plants so this insecticide does nothing to kill them. Adults generally live about a week but will lay approximately 300 eggs in that time. When the larvae emerge, they live in and feed on the organic matter in the soil for about 2 weeks. My understanding is that most types of fungus gnats do not feed on the plant roots if there is sufficient organic matter in the soil. So, again, this systemic insecticide won't kill the larvae if they are not eating the roots. It is not until they become adults that they emerge from the soil and then the cycle begins again. Here is what I do to address fungus gnats: - Provide gentle airflow in the room and use well-draining potting soil to allow the soil to dry out sooner. I add extra perlite to almost all bagged potting soils for my indoor plants. Try not to overwater. - Keep yellow sticky traps around my plants at all times. These catch and kill the adults. When I had a bad infestation, I put lots of the sticky traps in my pots and changed them as they filled up with gnats. Now I just keep one trap near the plants as a way to monitor for the presence of any pests. - Use "Mosquito Dunks" or other similar products that contains BTi (Bacillus Thuringiensis subspecies Israelensis) as a soil drench. BTi is a naturally occurring bacteria that kills the larvae of both mosquitoes and fungus gnats but is safe for people and pets. Soak half of a "Mosquito Dunks" donut in a gallon or so of water overnight. Use this solution to water the plants. Make sure to thoroughly drench the entire soil surface, especially around the sides/edges of the pot. With an active infestation, it is necessary to reapply the solution at least weekly for a minimum of 6 weeks to stop the lifecycle. You will initially see a decrease in fungus gnats but do not be deceived! If you only treat 1-2 times, they will return. The "Dunks" can be reused many times. - As a preventive measure, I use the "Mosquito Dunks" soil drench at least once a month to replace one of my regular waterings. Between doing this and monitoring the sticky traps, I no longer have problems with the annoying little creatures.

User questions & answers

Question: what are the mixing instructions for this product
Answer: This is a granular combo of insecticide and fertilizer to help roses grow more healthy and rid many bugs that infest them. We have used the product for years. You can sprinkle it dry and it slowly disoves when you water, over a few weeks.
Question: what is the shelf life of the concentrate
Answer: Don’t worry about it...sprinkle it on before rain or sprinklers every 6-8 weeks. Roses are hardy and I’ve found that too little or too much is just not at issue for healthy, blooming pest-free roses. I love this product.
Question: What time of the year do you apply this product? Before the first frost
Answer: We keep bees and have ten rose bushes, 5 tea roses and 5 climbing roses. The tea roses were being devoured by saw fly larva, and it happens every year, all spring-summer long. I talked to a bee expert and he convinced me it was okay to use this product. I only use it on the tea roses, because, so far, the other climbing roses seem hardier and not invested. This will kill a bee that drinks nectar from these tea roses, in theory. But the way the hive works makes that inconsequential. There is a huge abundance of other flowers that bees love during the time these roses are in bloom, including clover and wildflowers in the fields. Bees are born and die rapidly, and a healthy hive has baby bees continually emerging. The one or two bees that end up sipping from the tea roses will not matter tot he overall health of the hive. They actually prefer dandelions to roses. I recommend this product. Bonide Granular Sytemic., because it is so easy to use and has been effective in saving my roses. They would have died without this product.
Question: How much coverage will the 32-oz container provide? I have 8 yews - height and width of each about 2.5 ft
Answer: Cause that's the value. Trust me unless you're playing airsoft these are completely useless

Question: It isn’t listed on my package, but this should be safe to use on kiwi plants and fig trees correct
Answer: This can be used for blight on roses.
Question: is it toxic to cats

Question: Will the smell of this sulfur be enough to keep deers from eating forming buds on fruit trees
Answer: Yes, I use a paint mixer attachment on my drill to mix it in a 5 gallon bucket. I immediately spray with a sprayer and then dump out what's not used.
Question: does thisproduct Control Powdery Mildew, Rust, and Scab Mites and is it simular to garden sulfur by lilly

User questions & answers

Question: Does this work well for spider mites
Answer: There is no indication of shelf life on the container. I have used it over a years time. Container states that freezing does not harmWilt Stop. Web site www.bonide.com may help. M :)
Question: Does this treat viral leaf curl
Answer: No, for me (in CT) that's too early. Depending on where you live, I apply it in late fall on a day when the temperature is above freezing. The critical time for many rhododendrons is not until late winter when water hasn't been available (frozen) for some time, and drying winds dessicate the leaves even further. But, the product could even be used to reduce the effects of prolonged drought. Last year I ran out halfway through then last rhododendron, and the part I didn't spray had dead leaves in the spring. But usually the wood remains alive and new leaves will sprout from it.
Question: Can this be used on Squash Plants to kill Whiteflies on leaves
Answer: Directions indicate to mix 1(one) part Wilt Stop to 5(five) parts water for winter kill protection. All other uses are 1(one)part Wilt Stop to 10(ten)parts water. I mixed 1 cup of Wilt Stop to 5 cups of water. You can test amount needed by seeing how many cupsof plain water it takes to spray one of your yews and go from there. Or contact Bonide at www.bonide.com
Question: Do you have to wait so many days after spraying to then harvest vegetables or herbs
Answer: Yes, this is "bulb dust" which can be dusted onto bulbs to prevent rot. However, you must dry out the bulbs after dusting to make them dormant so that you can replant after the danger of frost has passed

User questions & answers

Question: The description says it's fungicide, but the photo of the bottle doesn't say fungicide... is it fungicide
Answer: It is a systemic fungicide.
Question: Is this granules that we put into a hose attachment? Also, how many square feet does it cover for lawns
Answer: Infuse is a liquid that is mixed with water and applied with a hose-end sprayer. I use it to control 'scab' on crabapple trees. Scab re-propagates by infecting the soil, tfusehen getting taken back up into the plant through the root system. Infuse kills the fungus in the infected leaf fall and soil preventing the tree from re-infecting itself. Scab is difficult to control and this is one of the o ly products I've had success with. It is best to use this in places where you have had problems BEFORE they re-emerge. For example, my crabapple has just budded, so this is a good time to treat the soil before the effects of scab are even notices. Re-apply every four to six weeks throughout the season. For lawns, the principle will be the same: apply to known problem areas before you see the emergence of lawn diseases. It is a concentrate, so it will cover a large area repeatedly. I have found that extra fertilization helps to kill fungus as the grass grows faster, spreads and is generally more healthy.
Question: I want to apply this as a soil drench around my cherry tree which is too large to spray. Can it be used for that
Answer: Yes I did dilute it as directions on label. I found a powder formula too that is actually easier to use. Same company and some product just in powder.
Question: Is it safe for the beneficial insects, esp the bees
Answer: It has no effect on insects.

User questions & answers

Question: anyone use this for cedar rust fungal infection on Apple trees? thanks
Answer: Hi Unfortunately the lid is not designed to be unhinged.
Question: Does this work on Damping Off root rot for seedlings
Answer: In most situations with a little plannig, yes, squirrel proof. If you mount it low enough and the biody of the feeder is in reach then no. But hanging from a branch wihtout nerar by brenaches giving access, then it is squirrel proof. The curved smooth top will keep animals from getting to it from the top. I've seen squirresl try to reach out for it from nearby branches and they can't reach it, then its safe. Really, hung thoughtfully, it's squirrel proof.
Question: what ratio water to concentrate
Answer: Yes. All metal. I have 6 of them.
Question: Has anyone used this to prevent early or late tomato blight? I lost a huge tomato crop last year and I need to try to prevent it this year
