When to add drainage holes?

While various kinds of plants have different drainage needs, few can tolerate sitting in stagnate water for extended periods of time. If exposed to intense periods of rainfall or storms, your soil may not be able to absorb or evaporate the water fast enough. When the pot is in an unsheltered location we recommend punching out drainage holes. The process is extremely quick and easy with the right tools.

Flip pot upside down and locate areas marked 'X' for recommended hole locations. Then punch out holes by using either a drill with a drill bit or a hammer and a nail. The process should only take a minute or two, then the pot will be ready to fill with potting soil and plants of your choice.

Answer:	yes! keep the tools in case you need to loosen the bolts to fold or reopen

Answer:	I don't think that this stand would do well outdoors. If you're only concerned with it's functionality, and not it's appearance, then maybe it would be okay, but I think it might warp after too many cycles of being wet and then dry.
Question:	Is it made from recyclable plastic
Answer:	I agree that the description is a bit confusing. 1 set for $28.99 is one plant stand. 2 set for $47.99 is for 2 plant stands.
Question:	One reviewer said the watering can holds 44 oz, not 144 oz. What size is it
Answer:	I would go for the ikea plant stand purely due to the price. In person, this stand shouldn't be more than $15 in my opinion, Bamboo or not.

Answer:	Very durable and good looking pot but found the saucer annoying. If the pot is in an exposed area during a hard rain f the pot floods and the plants can flood. I threw out the saucer andI drilled holes in the bottom of the container. The same style also comes without a saucer.

Answer:	I had absolutely no problem pulling the saucer off, came off easily. I did it with the pot empty.
Question:	Is the leaf pattern enbossed
Answer:	The pot has six holes, three for drainage and three of which attach attach to the saucer with snap fittings. The three snap fittings have several rings, and it is shipped with the saucer attached to the bottom ring of each snap fitting, so that the saucer is right up against the pot. The way it works is that you remove the saucer by pulling it away from the pot with moderate pressure, and then reinstalling the saucer so that it is attached to the top rings, allowing excess water to drain through the remaining three holes into the saucer.

Answer:	It is 14 and 3/4 inches.

Answer:	it ended up taking quite a bit of potting soil for it. It is a very deep pot but i was re-potting a very big plant. Hope this helps

Answer:	Right now we have 2 of these. We have some pretty big pots, combined with the dirt and 2 big plants, i would think that the weight sitting on these are about 50+lbs each. They are really nice especially when you have to move them around.

Answer:	As I live in Ct, I cannot say as to sun exposure itself, but this stand is excellent quality as far as the wheels and the plastic. It has withstood all of our 4 seasons for years. Hope this helps !

Answer:	It is 16”, but it is for the bottom of a 20-24” pot. The pots are measured at the top (diameter) and the bottoms are smaller bc of the way the pots taper.

Answer:	the inside base diameter is 14.75". It will hold a planter pot that has a top width of 16". (wider might cause a stability problem).
