Answer:	I have a 15 pound flower pot on it and it's very stable
Question:	what size bird bath does it hold
Answer:	I use this stand to hold a stainless steel 12" gazing ball... and another holds a 10" glass gazing ball. Anything smaller would not work. The 12" sits up high while the 10" sits a little lower in the stand. It is very close to the ground... I never thought of using it as a birdbath by adding a bowl... I have 7 various standard, but each different, birdbaths... and a small kiddie pool for the birds. I put a board in the kiddie wading pool because toads would get in and not be able to get back out, plus the birds actually walk down the board and drink from the pool water. Pool was originally for my couple dogs that love water; but got them a different, larger pool and put it elsewhere in the yard. I hope this helps. If your bowl has a lip on it, it would work, as I said a round gazing ball, both 12 and 10 inch fit.

Answer:	This little stand is sturdy enough for a 2.5 gallon container, but I don't know how big around the jar is. The inside dimensions of the stand is 8 9/16 in. If the jar was a little bigger than that it could sit on top of the ring, but the top of the legs would interfere if it were too much bigger. Hope this helps.
