Question: My railing is only 1-1/8" wide, not 1.5. Will this still work
Answer: I like them, mainly because there are multiple choices in the packaging. I've no allergic reaction & the clear silicone isn't very noticeable. Since you can choose which thickness & how much adjusting you need, I just save the pieces I tried for possible reuse later. I started off w/ the smallest coil & had no spinning (I have small hands & my rings had fairly wide bands), but as you say, now that it's cooler, I may move up to a thicker one. It's still tight enough that I can't easily remove the ring, so I may wait a bit & see. The coils can be removed for cleaning & retain their memory. A plus: the coils are handy for sock or lace knitters to clasp 2 small needles together!

Answer: The hanger part is set up to slide open and shut and has a set screw to secure. So it will fit 2x4s and as wide as a 2x6, which is 5 1/2”. Nothing wider. Hope this helps.

Answer: You may need to check your ring width and make sure your using the right size piece, or cut a new piece but make it a bit longer. My guess is that if it's coming undone at the end, it is too small for the width of the ring your using it for. Hope this helps.
