Hello, the wire must be connected between solar panel and spotlight for these reasons: i) sunlight is charging the Lithium battery concealed behind solar panel - during daytime ii) Lithium battery releases power to LEDs - during night time If wire isn't connected, the spotlight won't work. Hope this explains. Side note: Place solar panel face South (if you're on Northern Hemisphere), free from partial shade/shadow. Select Medium Power for night-long lighting in summer; Low Power for night-long lighting in winter. I will begin in early April and spray every 10 days until the latter part of May. Bonide may work when using this spray frequency....I just don't know. I am told by sources I trust that the Immunox will work. Also, there are several varieties of Apple trees that are immune to Cedar Apple Rust. Answer:	You should cover the holes if the wire will be buried or exposed to standing water to avoid a possible short that the power supply fuse would have to deal with. Just a simple wrap of plastic/vinyl electrical tape, a quick sqirt from a can of spray paint, or even a little dab of nail polish should do the trick! Plus, "patching" the insulation will prevent early corrosion of the wire.
Question:	Are they thin enough to fit through the plastic edging holes on standard 8 ft landscape edging
Answer:	I don't understand the question. This IS 14 g. wire - what are "these connectors"?

Answer:	yes, however the total wattage should not exceed the rated wattage of your transformer powering the lighting devices you have total. if you exceed you will burn your power source (your transformer). the overload could be a fire hazard. i would only load it to 90% of the transformer. in other words if the transformer is rated @ 300 watts i would only put your lighting load @ a total of 280 watts. the number of lights also controls the brightness of the lights.
