| Answer: | With three failures in a row I would (from 30 years of being an industrial electrician) I would inspect your wall sockets. Sometimes these are just connected with the "push" in cheapo deal(It's common in cheaply built homes) instead of the much better wire wrapped and secured by the screw terminal type. I've dealt with situations, even though I would get 120 volts on the meter, things wouldn't run (in this case a forced air furnace). It was an old home and by installing new receptacles and securing the wires properly to the terminals I cured the problem. Good luck. |

| Answer: | leaving on 20 hours a day ( i have two 600 i power light systems in my 4 foot by eight foot tent. the height is six feet high. with any amount of heat will really depend on having a good exhaust and intake fans that can move the air out and away from the 600 watt lighting . i have the eight inch fan with a controller that can change the volume of air coming and going. DO NOT FORGET it is wise to replace them around every 6 months or so,regardless of the type of hood you will use the expense of the tube.i also have a closet tent four foot by two foot,height is five foot tall with a i power 400 watt system that has the cool air hood.and this setup that fits in my bedroom closet and it can get very hot because of the smaller closet and size.so i am now keeping the doors open(zipper doors)with additional fans blowing in.so the amount of heat that will stay in your tent will most certainly depend on the placement of your tent(basement is cooler)a small closet in your living space with lack of places that you can quickly create different conditions. is air conditioner on,is the heater on? how many plants. ideally what ever you choose to purchase i power is the better company out there today!for the actual question how hot will it get how much space you are going to use and can the intake and out take can vent in fresh air and how good the exhaust fan move the air away from your grow area. |

We found that two lights per four square feet of growing area put out enough lumens, in excess of 2,000 to make sure there was reliable light for growth. If you are ever going to do more or want a precise scientific way to know that buying a light meter (around $20.00) will let you know the lumens in each section of your growth area at the top of the growth area - thats helps adjust your lights for spacing or lets you know that if your plants are in pots which ones to rotate to a level with higher lumens periodically. Be sure if you buy a meter you get one thar reads lumens - the concentration of light as it hits a space.
