Question:	Winter is coming to new england but i really want to try this. what kind of light should i get to help with the growing
Answer:	Hi Alix! :) Thanks for this question, we're happy to help as always! We recommend purchasing an LED grow light if you plan to grow your herbs through the winter and if you live in a location that gets limited sunshine during this part of the year. There are many options for LED grow lights on Amazon. Be sure that your grow light has the following features if you do decide to get one: 1) Full spectrum light, 2) Adjustable height so you can raise the lights as your plants grow. Additionally, as mentioned in the instructional pamphlet that is included in our kits, be sure that you keep your lights on for 12-16hrs per day (the rule of thumb is that you double natural light sunshine time when using grow lights, so because your plants require at least 6-8hrs of sunshine, you would provide them with at least 12-16hrs of grow light time). We recommend using a timer so your lights come on in the early morning and turn off on their own in the evening so the plants get evening rest during the night. I hope that helps, Alix! Note that after your herbs have grown out of the included seed starting pots (to between 3-5" in height), you'll want to transplant them to a larger pot so their root systems can fully develop, otherwise their growth will be limited and they will eventually die off. Answer:	Yes, as long as your windowsill is at least 5 inches wide and there is an electrical outlet within 4 or so feet to plug in the garden. Plants need 8 hours daily of dark, so as long as your Click and Grow’s 8 hours off roughly coincides with the hours after sundown in your area, the sunlight won’t hurt the plants at all during the day. Might even help make them stronger! After all, being outdoors under full sun is how plants evolved.

Question:	Genovoese basil pod did not germinate what would I do to replace it
Answer:	Personally, I’d reach out to AeroGarden. They may send replacement pod. Have to make sure you’re following the instructions carefully. Add water when needed. Add plant flow when needed. I set reminders. Also need to adjust the lighting as needed. My basil produced basil leaves the size of my hand. Then I forgot to add more water to the reservoir one day and accidentally killed off 3 plants.
Question:	Did any of the pods got some mold on it
Answer:	This is actually addressed in the directions. It's normal to have growth on the pods and a positive sign! Hang in there if you see this. It means your plant should soon sprout!
Question:	The lights on the control panel are on continuously, is that normal
Answer:	Yes it is! The "Add Plant Food" light is green, the "Add Water" light is blue, and the "Light On/Off" is white. When an action is required, the light of that button will blink red.
Question:	Do these actually grow herbs or do they just kinda die slower
Answer:	They grow beautiful herbs. I had so many I couldn’t use them all. The only herbs I had trouble with are curly parsley and cilantro. I am trying them again now but too early to see if they will grow as well as the others. The lettuces are phenomenal. I can’t use them all. I have 4 AeroGardens. 2 of the 3 pod variety and 2 of the 6 pod variety. They all work wonderfully.

Question:	Will this be able to grow outside during summer,100 degrees or so in cali....Or would it be better if I grew it inside on a window
Answer:	It would be better inside near a window or in a fully shaded spot outdoors. You will need to watch the water level it will need to be filled every couple days or the plants will dry up and the Aero-Grow will probably manfunction mechanically if it dries out.
Question:	My boyfriend keeps taking off the Grow Domes to look at the seedlings--is this bad
Answer:	You can take off the grow domes for a short period of time to look at the sprouts but put them back on. This are slow to start but when the seeds do sprout they grow pretty fast.
Question:	I bought it but I do not know How long run ignition light lighting? ? How many hours a day
Answer:	Hi Asmaa, Since you got the Herb Garden mix, all you have to do is on your selector on the Aerogarden push the button until it indicates Herbs. It will automatically adjust to the appropriate lighting cycle for the Herb package. You may find, depending on when you actually hook it up and start it, the lights may be on during the day or at night. The Garden takes the guess work out of how long for it to light.
