Special Reminder:

1. The pH function of this soil tester can not be applied to test pH value of any other liquid.

2. Since soil most often is in/close to neutral state (with pH value of 7), it is highly likely that you find the needle in display window stay still (because the default pH value is set at somewhere between 7 and 8) when you use it to test the pH value of soil. Customers sometimes are misled by this appearance and hence regard the tester as a defective unit by mistake.

How to Use:

Step 1: Switch to moisture/pH/light position according to demand.

Step 2: Insert the probe into the soil about 2-4 inches.

Step 3: Check moisture/pH/light level in the dial after 10 minutes.

Step 4: Remove probe from soil and wipe clean after each use.

Kindly Note:

1. Do not force it into very hard soil or touch hard objects since it will be easy to damage the probe.

2. Do not use it to test pure water or other liquids. It can only be used to measure soil.

3. Do not leave the meter in the soil for a long time.

4. Please wipe and clean the probe after each use.

5. If the soil is too dry the indicator will not move, and water it before testing.

Muchas personas usan un BLS por banco cuando cada banco es de al menos 250Ah. Si las baterias no son de la misma edad se recomienda usar una unidad por banco. Se puede usar un BLS cuando es menos de 1000Ah total en el sistema. O se puede usar el BLS 36/48 multi-F. Question:	Does anyone use this for vegetable gardens? What is the ideal moisture level for vegetables
Answer:	It should be installed on the positive and negative of your battery bank probably it could be in the neg and pos buss bar
Question:	Do the 0-10 tallies correlate to percentage? So is 2 equal to 20% moisture
Answer:	Yes, it has been used by customers in the past with success. I want to make clear that we have not designed a protocol of rejuvenation with those kind of batteries, and do not endorse that kind of use. If you are going to test the BLS on those kind of batteries, make sure to never have lead acid batteries in the same room.
Question:	If my plant falls under the 0-3 red category, does that mean I only water it when the meter indicates that’s where the soil is at
Answer:	The BLS 48A is used with solar/wind systems up to 600A. It is used with Polaris four wheelers as well. The BLS 48N is used only on 48V golf carts. The BLS 48N comes with an internal circuit that turns off the BLS around 90% SOC. That means that this BLS will be on mostly while charging. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
