Answer:	There is no ratiol per gallon you need a ph meter and you check your water and then it'll tell you my water runs about 7.8 on the pH and depending on how low you want it easy I go about 6.5 so I use about 1 teaspoon to a tablespoon per gallon

Hydroponics, Soilless Grow Bags or Coco ~ 5.5 – 6.5 pH

For hydroponic growing setups (as well as soilless growing mediums like coco coir) an optimum root zone pH is between 5.5 and 6.5. This is slightly more acidic than the optimal root pH for growing in soil.

It’s a good idea to let the pH cover a range instead of always adjusting to the exact same pH number.

4 STEPS TO BE A pH GROW MASTER First Calibrate Your pH Meter or Use Drops - Test Strips

PH is the measure of how “acidic” or “alkaline” something is, on a 1-14 scale. A pH of “7” is considered neutral, for example pure water has a pH of about 7. The measurements of pH has to do with the concentration of hydrogen in the sample. For PH Down – Never Mix Nutrients or Supplements Directly With Each other Or You will Have A Major Bummer

For PH Down – 1 mL/gallon of water will generally reduce your pH about 1 point. That’s just a very rough estimate, but gives you a starting point. In imperial measurements, will reduce the ph pH by 1 point.

For PH UP

For PH UP – PH Up is not potent stuff! It actually has a very weak effect. Compared to PH Down you will need to add much more PH Up to adjust the pH by the same amount. With PH Up, depending on how hard your water is you need to add 2-4mL/gallon of water to raise the pH 1 point. In imperial measurements that’s 0.4-0.8tsp/gallon.

Soil ~ 6.0 – 7.0 pH

In the wild, Many plants prefers a slightly acidic soil environment. For soil an optimum root zone pH for plants is between 6.0 and 7.0, with the most time spent with a pH between 6.2 – 6.9. It’s a good idea to let the pH cover a range instead of always adjusting to the exact same pH number.

Answer:	I uwe both of these buffer test solutions to calibrate my ph meter. The color codes solutions makes it a little easier to keep them straight. I have double checked them againt the Milwaukee sachettes and found them to be accurate.

Answer:	I'm not sure. In my fish tanks. If the Ph is low I will add a piece of coral & check it a few hours or days later depending on the tank size. If the Ph is to high I will take out the coral & gravel (if its crushed coral). A piece of wood,, like drift wood also brings up the Ph.
Question:	I recently ordered this item and the down crystals bottle came solid like a brick, is this common? If not how do I get a replacement bottle

Answer:	As far as the amount per gallon it will depend on the ph of the water that you start with. You will need a ph meter or ph test strips to test it. Add a small amount, stir and let sit for 15 min and test. Adjust as necessary. I have well water which has a ph of around 8. It only takes a cap or 2 full to get it down to 6 in a 4 gallon bucket.
