Answer:	Usable cutting length, when open is just under 5 inches [that would be for each blade]. The length of the blades from point to the end of the unusable portion- of the blade- is about 7.5 inches.

Answer:	Hi Itzik G, I checked my shears and they don't have any branding mark on them either. So I can't tell you that you if they are really Fiskars. All I can tell you is that they worked for me so far and are so much better then the old plastic handled ones I had.
Question:	Does anyone know if there is a sheath for these shears, and where I can get one
Answer:	When I got these the only 'sheath' was a piece of cardboard. Perhaps, they've added a sheath since I got mine; and that should be on/in the description section. There is, also, a metal arm that has a rivet- which holds the blades together, which was never locked in place. So, almost immediaty it fell off into vegetation. I lost it and have never been able to use these Fisker Shears, again.

Question:	How does one operate the shears part of the tool? On other products I see a squeeze handle at the base of the pole. Don't see one here
Answer:	The orange handle on the shaft slides up and down to work the shears. When the pole saw is fully expanded and the orange handle is out of reach, there is real strong nylonish-type cable attached to handle t pull for easy operation of the shears. I find that this gives me more flexibility in my posture which is important when using for extended periods of time. This particular Fiskars tool is awesome = in my opinion the best "medium duty" pole pruner, by far for these reasons. (1) It's FAR LIGHTER than other pole pruners; if you are going to be using a pole saw for more than 15-30 minutes at a time, you're gonna love this model (2) Very sharp, and like all Fiskars tools, the blade is made from quality metal that maintains a nice sharp edge. (3) THIS IS AN IMPORTANT ONE - there is no big "knobby thing or pulley set up on the end; this makes it lighter to use but also allows you to get into tighter spaces for finer detailing. Answer:	The pruner blades measure about 1-1/8" apart so it should do up to 1" as stated in the specs. I've cut about 3/4" branches with no issues.

Answer:	I dont know anything about the warranty. You might want to ask Amazon customer service. I have done a lot of tree trimming with mine and they have held up great so far.

Answer:	I can't say how long they'd last and I guess how well it would cut your honeysuckle at the base depends on how thick that is, but I've been very happy with the cutting power of the loppers I bought. They don't require a lot of strength to use in proportion to the size of branch they'll cut. I'm very happy with them.

Answer:	The handles are 22" long. I highly recommend this lopper! I had rotator cuff surgery in 2002 and still have to watch stress to the joint. This is a perfect cutter that requires very little effort or extension.

How wide does the 180 degree, not the 360 degree rotating, one open to? i have small hands and need to be sure i can hold it when opened. thanks

Truth in advertising: I bought the 360-degree swivel model. However, even if your hands are small I am sure you can hold the 180-degree model just fine. Why? Because when your hand is fully inserted into the handle your hand's bone structure and muscle pressure will only allow the shears to open as wide as your hand allows, no more. Answer:	I think that the weight was listed in the description info. As a male, it is a comfortable weight, but could be a little heavy for a smaller female, especially if working overhead.

Answer:	These are more sturdy. But this Power Gear 2 weighs about twice as much as the original Power Gear. Really disappointing that you can't find the original any more.

Answer:	I was able to find and purchase replacement blades for the original PowerGear. Shipping was high so I ordered 5 to save money but with propper care and light filing I have only used 2 after 1yr of heavy business use.Fiskars blades only have a 1/8in blade overlap (allows more cutting capacity) so they must be just slightly sharpened and they work fine. My dad tried to sharpen his chipped blade and took too much off and ruined it.Just don't cut roots in dirt, too dry limbs, chain link fencing, or twist the blade. Answer:	I use it on my St. Augustine lawn here in Florida, and I’ve been extremely happy with it! It does leave the taller weeds, I will say, but I don’t mind going through and pulling those. It’s the only reel mower I could find that has options for cutting at the healthier height of 3.5-4” and my lawn has been thanking me.

Answer:	I have had the $179 model for less than a year. The front wheels are made of hard plastic and will not last the year. I do have to go over 300 feet of concrete driveway to get to a couple of other patches of grass, but I would still expect more from the wheels. The front wheels of the newer model look more substantial, but obviously I can't swear to their durability.Besides the reversible chute mentioned by photofan, the description says the older model is 30% easier to push (which is pretty darn easy on my bermuda grass) and the newer one says 60% easier. The older model also says "50 percent more cutting power" while the newer one says 100% ("twice") the cutting power. Edit: Having now seen the newer model, the new front wheels are essentially smaller versions of the back wheels. So I assume they would last longer than the front wheels of the older model.

Answer:	I have found Fiskars products reliable and easy to use. They are designed tovwork with less effort than similar products. The mower is new to me and works with reasonable effort. I also got the catcher basket, which works well and adjusts for mowing height.

Answer:	I have had these tiny Fiskars for at least 5 years and they are still plenty sharp. You might consider contacting Fiskars as they stand behind their products, having replaced some loppers I bought awhile back.

Answer:	I find the non-stick coating on the cutting blades very helpful as this means they do not need as much cleaning as other pruning snips / cutters that I have used. I think the coating helps to keep it sharp. Whether it is the coating or the metal they used to make the blades, this snip is very, very sharp and cuts cleanly. I find it very useful for more refined work such as snipping leaves, ornamental grasses, soft plant stems, etc. which secateurs have a tough job handling because they are too big for the job or do not cut as cleanly. The only problem I have is the blades keep locking shut together when I grip /hold the handles too close to the orange lock while using the snip. But it does not feel natural to grip / hold the handles near their ends further away from the orange lock because of the shape of the handles - could have been more ergonomically designed.

Answer:	These are made in China. I wish Amazon had a policy about listing where things were made. Had I known, I would have bought something else.
