Answer:	Agree with those who say spikes do nothing to aerate a lawn. You do not see any commercial lawn care professionals use spikers. You need to plug to make any difference.

Answer:	The length of the spikes are 2.5 inches, there are 13 spikes on each shoe. Hope this clarifies your doubts
Question:	Does this work on clay
Answer:	They're not spikes -- they're tubes -- about three inches long. And they get clogged up really fast.
Question:	Can a replacement handle be purchased? Mine is missing from a move
Answer:	June 5, 2019, I wondered why the model im-7C that I purchased, included an Owner's Manual marked "m-7C", so I sent this question to the manufacturer's Customer Service: "What is the difference between Yard Butler m-7C (versus) im-7C ?" They replied, "There is no difference. The "I" is used to identify our products sold through the Internet." (Both models are the same, they both have foot bars. EXACT same item.)
Question:	Will it easily penetrate compacted soil
Answer:	This will pull out plugs more often then not although I found that if there is dry caked soil in the tubes the tool makes holes until the caked soil is removed.
