Answer:	Usable cutting length, when open is just under 5 inches [that would be for each blade]. The length of the blades from point to the end of the unusable portion- of the blade- is about 7.5 inches.

Answer:	Hi Itzik G, I checked my shears and they don't have any branding mark on them either. So I can't tell you that you if they are really Fiskars. All I can tell you is that they worked for me so far and are so much better then the old plastic handled ones I had.
Question:	Does anyone know if there is a sheath for these shears, and where I can get one
Answer:	When I got these the only 'sheath' was a piece of cardboard. Perhaps, they've added a sheath since I got mine; and that should be on/in the description section. There is, also, a metal arm that has a rivet- which holds the blades together, which was never locked in place. So, almost immediaty it fell off into vegetation. I lost it and have never been able to use these Fisker Shears, again.

Question:	Can i use this to harvest wheat
Answer:	I don’t know, mine is straight. but it’s not easy to cut a plug out of existing turf. I find it necessary to completely stand on it and wiggleit back and forth. Perhaps the jagged edge cuts into the sod easier.
Question:	Can you sharpen this tool even though it is serrated
Answer:	This has a square cutter 1.73" *1.73". This was very easy to use, push into old sod and then tip the handle to lift out the useless plug. Do same with good plug and drop in old hole using the included plunger. I had 100% success due I think to the close fit of the new plug and the surrounding soil. I spaced the plugs about a foot apart and those that got a good amount of sun completely joined up within the first season. Those in the shade look like they will require 2-3 growing seasons to completely fill in.
Question:	What kind of steel is this made of
Answer:	The plugged works great! All you need to do after putting plug in hole is to step on it...I did this last season, 300 plugs and they're all thriving this season...3 steps...plug, place, step...done deal!...very happy I only lost 6 out of 300...
Question:	How long is the metal blade? How long is the handle
Answer:	I've used this on Zoysia in zone 7 (northern edge of zoysia range). I've plugged at 12" on center, with each row offset. It takes about 2 years to fill in, if you care for it and it gets enough sun. For a faster fill in, plug closer together or live farther to the south. Zoysia is one of the slowest lateral growing grasses out there, so Bermuda and St. Augustine will fill faster. For best results, get 2 of these and make it a 3-person job. One person making the plugs, one person making the holes in the area to be plugged, and one person transporting plugs between the two and filling in the holes. I'm about to get a 2nd as I want to plug a youth soccer field, so I need thousands of plugs.

Question:	Is the shaft tubular or solid
Answer:	No, because it is corrugated...very uneven. The blade is not very sharp so it is better for wacking weeds rather than grass.
Question:	Can the blade be sharpened
Answer:	It is wood.
Question:	Is the handle wood or tubular? The stock number says wood---the picture says tubular
Answer:	Yes, but only once.
Question:	Can i brush my teeth with this
Answer:	This product is not organic.
