I've been amazed how much better my work turns out when I'm a little more careful about the timing. These are the three major advantages I've found in using a heat press over my iron. Answer:	My unit opens very easily. I have to clear the door occasionally of small debris that collect in the track the door uses. If yours was difficult to open day one use some sand paper on the door ( bottom and top edge) and / or the main unit track (to remove any plastic molding leftovers). This could solve the problem and be easier on you than a return. If no amount of removing burrs etc. helps the situation then a return may be necessary. Mold injection plastic is notorious for having to have its edges cleaned up a bit. This often is not done as much as is needed at the end of the manufacturing process. I regularly have to finish the job on plastic mold injection products. I love my unit. It is the perfect size for my porch and for me to pick up and empty. It does spill out small particles through vent holes... something one needs to expect and understand as part of the design.

Answer:	I find it very stable. Most of the time one side is full and “cooking” while I am filling the other side. If you need to you could put sand bags on the base. Here in California I get 2 buckets of lovely soil from one side very 3 to 4 weeks

Answer:	I made 2 batches so far. The 1st I filled 3/4 full and let it sit. Over time the pile lessened to about 1/2 as it composted. I filled the 2nd chamber full and am waiting for it to do its work...after 2 weeks it’s still pretty full, although it has decreased, and continues to compost.
Question:	Is this tumbler suitable to be sitting in direct sun in the Central Valley? 110F is not unusual

Question:	Is the frame sturdy enough to support two full bins
Answer:	Very little because of you fill it too full then the plastic breaks. It is a horrible composted. Don't waste your money!
Question:	How is this put together? Are the tumblers one piece or do you join two or more pieces to put together each tumbler? How many screws? Thanks
Answer:	The instructions to assemble should be with the tumbler, together with a list of all the parts.
Question:	Can you tell me the assembled dimensions
Answer:	Tracy, push the open/close slide in to the open position, then turn the lid counter clockwise. It seems like it is stuck but muscle it, and it will open. After that file down the small round little nibs in each of the four 'L' shaped air vents and that will make the lid easier to turn. Do the same thing on the other side of the barrel. It is not hard to file the plastic and it is worth the effort because my tumbler is working well and it really does cook compost efficiently.

Tumbling design

Avoid digging and mixing your compost pile by hand. The tumbling design makes mixing easy and efficient. Just close the door and turn it 5-6 times every 2-3 days. In hot sunny conditions and with a proper balance of ingredients the compost can finish in as little as 2 weeks.

Two Composting Chambers

Two separate sides allow the first side to finish while leaving the second side available to add fresh scraps/clippings. Continuously swapping sides after finishing will create an uninterrupted flow of rich, healthy compost.
