Answer:	I have the 14 amp and was looking at this 15 amp to replace it. Yes it is obnoxiously irritate-the-neighbors (and even myself) loud. But after moving to Florida with mostly sand for a garden, I've come to consider yard waste a valuable resource. So despite being obnoxiously loud, I use it. :)
Question:	Can it shred succulents
Answer:	I have yet to have it jam up. That being said, the opening to feed in material is rather small. As long as you are feeding in material no larger than the opening, you should have no problems. I have also found it works better on small branches than on leaves. It takes some effort to not only feed leave in, but to get them through the cutter. I put a stone in the hopper that I did not see in some leaves and had to take it apart and flip the blades to the other side. Blades are reversible (2 cutting surfaces) and it is really easy to open it up. Keep the stones out and it will chip away for a long time. The chips are rather small in my opinion. They are similar to chainsaw chips.
Question:	Can the earthwise gs70015 15-amp electric garden chipper/shredder shred bamboo
Answer:	I'm not sure what the issue is. If it works for you and your neighbor has an electrical connection then it should work for your neighbor.

Question:	I had a load of wood chips delivered from a tree service and those chips are kind of large. Will this chip those chips down to a smaller size
Answer:	Page 9 of the engine manual shows SAE 30 for temps from 50 to 100+F but it probably won't make any difference since 10w - 30 will be the same once warmed up. The manual actually calls for 15w - 40 for most of the temp range but again any difference will not be significant with your average temps.
Question:	Will this handle rose clippings? Thanks
Answer:	Actual amount of oil is in the manual, but it is less than a quart.
Question:	How well does it do with bamboo? I have the yellow groove variety. Some of the stalks are over 1 inch thick
Answer:	Not really.
Question:	I just bought a few acres with thousands of 1 inch diameter "weed" trees on it. Can I run this for several hours a day every day
Answer:	The owners manual for the engine says to add fuel stabilizer if an ethanol blend is used. Like everything else it's all made in China. This is only useful for the smallest branches and twigs, I used it for 2" or smaller oak and manzanita branches and the cutters dulled quickly. Pine branches with needles clogged it up quickly. There's an access panel to get to the blades to sharpen them but you still need to take it apart to get them completely off. I'm thinking about sending it back.
Question:	Manual recommends sae 30 oil, but this page recommends 10w-30 - which is correct? average temp here is 50-90 degrees fahrenheit
Answer:	What you see is what you get. The white plastic insert comes out and you plug in your extension cord. This machine is a beast. It will "devour" a pile of freshly (day old) cut shrubs in a short time. I "processed" a pile of trimmed crape myrtles 12'x12'x4' in less than 2 hours. I chip/shred into a kids plastic swimming pool and then shovel the results into a single 50 gallon bag that weighed nearly 50 lbs. The "beast" never clogged or stopped running the entire 2 hours.
Question:	So oil is not included. how much oil is needed
Answer:	Terrible. I purchased it for that reason; I wanted a sturdy, toothed shredder, not one of those glorified string trimmers. However, the feed throat is only 5"x1 1/4", large enough for about five leaves at a time. And those leaves I did feed through the machine came out the discharge chute slightly mangled, but certainly not shredded. I set it in the back of the shed, sadder but wiser, and bought a Toro 51621 UltraPlus shredder vac. Emptying the bag is a hassle, but it really sucks up the leaves, and pulverizes them. If you can handle the leaf dust, it would make quick work of your leaves using it without the bag.

Whirring by and cutting, inch by inch as the material is pulled down by gravity. The (2), also jams much more easily, with the only remedy being...turn off the machine, unplug it, unscrew the locking bolt to the hopper, lift the hopper, find the culprit, and manually rotate the wheel that holds the blades in the opposite direction with a stick or a gloved hand until the "culprit" breaks free, pull it out, close the hopper, screw the hopper bolt back down tight, plug it in, turn it on, and proceed. You can hit the reset switch too for good measure. Now with the (3), it rarely jams due to its "squirrel wheel" design. When you look into the hopper, it is as if your are viewing the top of a "squirrel wheel." The material is pulled to the right and then crushed inbetween the wheel and a counter plate. (3) slows down as it processes the bigger pieces of material, but rarely, if ever, stops. Also, you always have the option of reversing the wheel, which spits everything back up/out. It is not perfect. Occasionally, a branch gets cut into an awkward size due to a protruding limb that gets snapped in half...and just rattles around in there. A stick and patience and time usually solves this, but every once in a blue moon, you have to turn off the machine, disconnect the power, and go fishing with a metal hanger. The chunks from (3) are much larger than (2), and often not as clean looking due to the tremendous efficiency of the guillotine like action of (2). The shear number of times that you spend unjamming (2), makes it a much less efficient use of your time. Let's face it, most of us do not love yardwork. We do it because it has to be done. We don't want it to take any longer than it has to... as we have other things to do with our time. So, spend the few extra bucks and get (3). The work will get done, it will look almost as good as (2), and you can get on with your life.

Answer:	The Sun Joe leaf mulcher/shreader is manufactured in New Jersey.
Question:	I have a very large yard. What's the maximum length and size outdoor extension cord(s) I can use with this shredder without burning out the motor
Answer:	My extension cord is 50 feet long, 2 25s connected together. The current rating is for when the device is mulching, not just spinning, which in my experience if you are doing it alone is about 75% of the time. The risk is not in burning out the motor because of the cord, the risk is overheating the cord. If you are not overloading the motor, it should last, like mine has. Before you buy a heavy (hard to use) 14 or 12 gauge wire, try the 16 Gauge and feel the wire after 30 minutes of use, if it is warm or hot then you will need to use the higher gauge wire. Note: this device has two design flaws, the legs, no matter how you tighten them tend to slide down during use; and it is difficult to keep a paper leaf bag secured under the device, I use large rubber bands (garbage can size), the elastic band on the device doesn't work for paper bags.
Question:	Can I use the Birtish 230 Volt supply for this device
Answer:	I'm assuming the questionnaire means standard British 230 Volts. I'm not sure what would result as the motor is meant for standard U.S. 115 Volts so 230 Volts may over-speed the motor. Would suggest that a transformer be used to step down to 115 Volts.
Question:	Are the lines easy to replace? About how long do they last
Answer:	The lines are very easy to replace. The interval between changes depends on the material you are shredding. We just concluded our fall shred-a-thon - 32x55 gallon garbage bags stuffed with mostly maple and some oak leaves. There are very few sticks or twigs in our leaves, so we don't ever break a line. Over time they do wear, and when they shorten an inch or so, I put in new ones. I think I changed strings 3 times, mostly when grinding the oak leaves as they are tougher than the maple. Changing takes just a couple minutes and you can do it with gloves on!

Answer:	You MUST read the description to make sure it comes with a charger. Some of them do not! make sure your final order states "comes with battery and charger!" I purchased an additional battery with a longer running time. It is a great blower. I love it!

Answer:	The legs collapse, but not all the way down. Everything else fits inside. My only issue is that if you have vines, they end up on the sides of the barrel. They don’t shred. Leaves shred great!

Answer:	I am not an amazon purchaser for this item but while looking for replacement blades, I came accross this. From what I have seen thus far.... the replacement blades are hard to find. There are generic blades offered from $10 to $20 but I don't know if they fit... I need to get the specific measurements of the blades to see. After the first afternoon, the blades were dull enough that we had to help the wood in since it stopped pulling it in. Rotated the blades and it worked great again. One of the blades broke after the second day of work. There were no nails or wires in the wood at all. The manufacturer does not have an option to order blades, you have to fill out a form and wait for a reply from them. Hopefully I can find a reasonable substitute... for the cost of 5 sets of blades... you get the cost of an entire shredder at $20. Saw some for $10 but if the Cheaper one is "cheaper" $20 may be the way to go.
Question:	several reviews mention blades dull quickly. how much are replacement blades? easy install
Answer:	Those people did not sharpen the machined blades from the factory, you should take the blades out and sharpen them, then polish them with a good stone .. the blades are actually very good steel, and they're double sided, so you can flip them over when they actually do get dull (mine are still very sharp), so you won't have to sharpen more than probably once a year or once every two years, depending on how much you use them .. they are not cheap blades, and should last the life of the machine. I sharpen my chisels for woodwork, and the chipper blades are a high quality steel. The reason people have these disappointments is because they expect plug and play, and that is not how machined tools work .. you have to put a sharp, polished finish on machined blades.

Answer:	I use a teflon sheet and no you don't have to press too hard. I used to use my iron and this thing is AAAAAmazing!!! Time and heat control... no more guessing or over heating.

Answer:	Your iron may be greatly superior to mine...But the advantages that this heat press has over my iron are these: 1) I'm able set the exact temperature I need. (I didn't realize what a difference this would make!) 2) The heat press is HEAVY. I want a lightweight iron for ironing clothes, but want pressure (which weight provides) for heat transfer designs. 3) This heat press has a timer. I've been amazed how much better my work turns out when I'm a little more careful about the timing. These are the three major advantages I've found in using a heat press over my iron. To be truthful, any heat press probably delivers these. But the smaller, more compact size (even with the largest, the 12 x 10--which I purchased), and hence, easier storage when not in use...is what tipped the scales for me when choosing the Cricut over the other brands of heat presses. Answer:	Based on my experience so far, you should be fine if you keep the branches under 2" in diameter. There's only so much a 6HP engine can do. I've fed it dogwood, Maple, and eucalyptus and it only really struggled with the eucalyptus.

Answer:	As long as it fits down the chute, it will chip most things. I've found smaller twigs and leaves pass without being chipped or shredded very well. Depending on the size and rigidity of the succulent plant matter, your success will vary. The best luck I've had is with green wood that is between a quarter inch and 1.5 inches. Smaller than that and it seems to be able to pass through the blade slit. Larger than that and it can jam or bog the motor. The dryer woods also tend to be 'dryer/harder' on the blades and motor. I don't imagine succulents will stress the machine, but depending on the thickness and size, you may struggle to get them to cut instead of just pass through the blade slit.
Question:	Both this model and the cj602e have 15a motors but this one can chip larger sticks? what are the differences between this and its cheaper predecessor
Answer:	It shredded some bamboo before it got jammed and I had to remove the blade cover and unjam the chipper. Took me a good 30 minutes to figure why it wouod turn on for 10 seconds before it shut down.

Question:	Will extreme heat break down the plastic? I live in Arizona and plastic things do not thrive well for very long outdoors
Answer:	We live in North Carolina and had a very hot summer last year...record amount of 100+ days. We have only had the bins for a year and have seen no breakdown. The only thing that had happened was in a bad storm we had a 12in tree fall on one of the bins and all it did was tear the top about 2in between holes. We are very pleased with how they are and for the price you can't beat them...Hope this helps
Question:	Can I overlap it around a wire mesh composter
Answer:	You can, tho there's really no need to. The bin comes with five interlocking plastic "keys" that keep the bin shut pretty tightly. I've used my bins for about two and a half years now and they have stood up to all the wear I could put them to... Mainly putting it up, filling it up to the brim, and taking it down to move it on many multiples of occasions. In fact, I found that the method of using this composter most efficiently is using it to contain all of your materials in by filling it, (preferably by green and brown layer mixing), letting it sit for a day, and then taking it down and setting it back up next to the first stack to refill again. Using it this way, you could potentially have a number of mounds all working sequentially in a row composting, and when one is ready to turn, just use the bin set up next to the oldest to turn the pile into and repeat. These bins are very hardy, I have gotten a lot of use out of mine without the need for any wire mesh just using those keys to keep the screen closed. One thing that may be valuable to you, depending on how fast you can fill it, are little wire stakes to hold it into the ground, though I've never had any issue with it wanting to fall over at all unless there are heavy winds, or if you don't have enough starting material to form as a nice base to hold the circle in place as you fill it. Usually about a foot or two will be fine to keep it up as you fill it progressively, though it's really meant to be used for massive amounts of materials to fill it, as the process of composting works best when the pile is greater than three feet tall. If you do not have much starting material, you could potentially decrease the diameter of the bin to as small as you choose to, as the composter material can be overlapped and still locked together to a pretty small circle if need be.
Question:	Can you buy two of these and use them to construct one uber large bin
Answer:	When I realized that connecting 2 of these together results in FOUR times the volume (volume of cylinder increases by square of the radius, and radius doubles if circumference doubles), I went ahead and gave it a shot. It is working GREAT for my purposes, which is simply as a large leaf bin instead of paying to haul the leaves away (and eventually I will get some good leaf mulch out of it). I currently have 3 of these bins, 2 connected together purely for leaves, and 1 stand alone for which I will attempt a hot compost. Before filling the connected bins it was fairly floppy, but once it was about half way full (30 minutes of scooping leaf piles using my hand leaf grabbers) it gained good structure. It's not going anywhere, and we've already had high winds. I have not needed to use stakes for either setup, as they are rigid and heavy when reasonably full (even with just leaves!) and I intend to keep them full. So if you have a ton of leaves like I do, this works great and is much more efficient than multiple single bins. But it does require a good amount of material to remain in the bins at all times. If you plan on a hot/active compost, this is probably not a great idea for the reasons others have mentioned. I have a picture of the connected structure if anyone is interested.
