Answer:	Dear Luna, You can adjust the evening closing by turning the potentiometer (test button) clockwise towards the moon icon and turning on switches 1 and/or 2 inside the drive unit. Turning on the switch 1 will cause the door to close 30 min after sunset, and switch 2 will close 60 min after sunset. Turning on both switches will make the door to close 90 min after sunset. Answer:	Thanks for the question! I'm afraid so. However, you can try to somehow shade the LDR sensor so that it does not receive direct light from the side of the light. We resolved such a situation with clients in two ways. One was: by shading the LDR sensor from direction of your automated light. Others: Pull the Light sensor to the place where is natural light without interference Minimal modifications are required here. The LDR sensor is glued on the inside with 2 wires, which can be easily detached from the wires, cut and extended. So you have an extended sensor that detects day/night light, which you mount on the outside place location with natural light without interference. In any case, you have a full warranty. Answer:	The opening is around 8” wide x 10” tall. I’ve seen turkeys get in some crazy places, but I don’t think this coop door would be the best for every day use for your turkey.

Answer:	Hello, The controller stops lowering the door when the sliding mechanism in the center of the control board slides over to the right. The only way it slides to the right is when the weight of the door is taken off the cord. There are only two causes for this. 1. The door is binding somewhere on the rails. As temperatures change the mounting surface for the door can change through warpage, expansion, or shrinkage. Even if the tracks are clean, they can still be tight, causing the exact scenario you describe. Please loosen the screws holding the rails on. Loosen them enough so that there is a little movement in the rails. You can test the theory by removing one of the rails completely. If the door goes all the way down, you know for sure that it's in the rails. 2. The line gets somehow flipped over a guidepost. The line should run to the left side of each white guide post. Please check the rails as it is the most common cause of this. Feel free to reach out to us for help at any time. Thanks!
Question:	Can this door install on uneven siding? My coop is made with overlapping boards. Also, can the door opening be smaller than 10x
Answer:	You can, but we definitely do not recommend putting it directly on the uneven siding. It works well if you put the whole thing on a piece of plywood with the door cut out already and then screw that entire assembly onto the coop. You can also just put the door and rails on a piece of plywood and mount the controller to the coop wall if you don't have the room for an entire piece that holds the whole assembly. If you can't do plywood, you can build a framework to mount the rails on. The door can definitely be smaller than 10x8, just not bigger than 8 in wide by 11 in tall. Question:	My opening is 9.5 x 15.5 will this still work
Answer:	You would need to add plywood or wood blanks, or whatever material your coop is made of, to compensate for the area outside the 8” x 10” opening of the automatic door. We did that as our original door opening was higher than 10” and we have never had any problems. I definitely recommend this door! I set it for the appropriate lums in the am/pm so I never have to change open/close times with Daylight Savings.

Answer:	So I have had this happen, it’s really not the device. Two things it could be off the top are low batteries and clean out and then oil the rails and really make sure it has no resistance to slide down. Don’t forget too when you change the battery you need to reset the door again like a new setup
Question:	Does the LED blinking light give any indication when the batteries are getting low and need to be changed
Answer:	Yes, with new batteries it will blink approx every 10 seconds. With low batteries, it will blink approx every 3 seconds. You should change them at this point. Remember to start with the door at the top (open) position when you put the new batteries in for best results. You are essentially repeating the set up process that you did when first installing the automatic chicken door kit. Thanks!
Question:	how does it work if you mount it on the south wall , refering to sunrise and sunset light
Answer:	It typically works very well. West and south are the best sides to mount if you are going to use the light sensor mode. If using the timer, it really doesn't matter which side it's on. Thanks!
Question:	Could this be mounted to 1/4" wire mesh on the run, or does it need to be mounted onto plywood
Answer:	There’s a chance it could work. My biggest concern is that the rails need to be spaced at 8 inches apart on the inside dimension. If it’s bigger the door could fall out of the tracks and if it’s smaller the door would bind. You could cut out a larger square of plywood (24”x 10”) and cut the door opening in it. Answer:	I've had mine since 2017 and it has weathered 3 New England winters so I would say, for most instances it's quite waterproof. Not sure if it fell into a bucket of water it would still work!

Answer:	I use a 12v 7A battery, wired in parallel with a solar panel on a charge controller. Panel keeps the battery charged, battery operates the door. Enough amps to crank it even in the cold.

Answer:	Mine stopped working after 1.5 months, temperature was about 26° and the motor would not open or close the arm, when I brought it inside to warm up it worked but back outside it failed again.

Answer:	The new models have better tracks and they take up much less room. Your looking at no more than 14" wide needed. You could even pull the tracks in a little more if you needed it just so long as it stop the door from sliding. There is roughly a 1/4" inch of space in there with the installation instructions.

Answer:	Adjusted which eye? The eye determines the amount of time from dark to door close. Make sure the large sensor doesnt have a light lit up on it. If it does then the door wont close because it thinks a chicken is in the way.

Answer:	Ours barely works in sub-tropical conditions. The computer chip operates with the time reversed (it thinks that 12 noon is 12 midnight, even using military time.) I'd strongly suggest you go with a different brand--this one is a piece of garbage.

Answer:	It has to be paired with the control panel. If you haven’t done that yet go to the manufactures website and it should give you instructions. The remotes also need batteries that we found at a car parts store
