Answer:	Do not try to paint watercolor OVER this pen. I will attach a photo to my review, so it should show up in the photos. I love these pens, but they do not go under paint, not even dry brush watercolor after letting the ink dry.

Answer:	The simple answer is no it is not. However, the ink reservoir is large and lasts a long time. I had one that appeared empty but the pen continued to perform very well for an additional six months. If you want a refillable pen, get the BLN75-A. It is both refillable and retractable.

Answer:	Absolutely NOT India ink. That will clog the pen. Use a good pigment ink like Pilot Yama Guri or Platinum Carbon. Glitter ink would also be a problem.

Answer:	The Pilot Metropolitan fountain pen takes a Pilot IC-100 or Pilot IC-50 ink cartridge. You can also add a Pilot CON-50 ink converter if you want to use bottle inks.

Answer:	It is what allows you to convert your cartridge pen into a true fountain pen. It is appproximately the size and shape of one of the ink cartridges. After removing the latter from your pen, insert the former. Then you dip the nip in an ink bottle, and squeeze the metal bar (the press plate) of the converter to expel air from the rubber bladder inside the converter. Then, slowly releasing the pressure on bar will cause the bladder to partially fill with ink. This may need to be repeated a few more times for optimum fillage.

Answer:	Pretty much your regular blue ink you always see. Nothing really bright about it. Definitely not as bright as the body of the pen in the picture.

Answer:	You will probably want a western medium point nib. The Pilot medium point nib is equivalent to a western fine point. I didn't see an option for a wider nib on this model.

Answer:	Mine came in the standard package from Pilot (or so I take it, since the Prera that I bought together with this came on one of those as well). If you are thinking about giving this as a gift to somebody, the box is certainly OK for that, it's not shabby at all. It's one of those with a magnetic lid to keep it closed and it's black. Inside, there is some lining or soft material and the pen is held in place by a small ring of the same fabric. The ink cartridge and the converter come in a small ziploc bag inside the box.
