Answer:	The pen comes with one ink cartridge. Some of the dealers supply a converter which allows you to use bottled ink but no bottle of ink is normally supplied. Look for special deals which might bundle a converter and a bottle of ink with the pen. This is a nice pen and I am very happy with it, so I bought all four models of the Lx.

Answer:	The way this pen is designed it will take just about any gel refill. If the refill is too short wrap tape around the end to make it longer or stuff some paper in the barrel to take up some of the space.

Answer:	Lamy Vista's come with an ink cartridge and you can buy a separate converter. The converter pulls out and is not threaded. Also, when they come new, there is a cardboard tube where the pen comes apart that should be thrown away. The cardboard tube is there so the ink cartridge does not puncture.

Question:	Why isn't the warranty leaflet included? How can one know if the pen is authentic
Answer:	Lamy tests all their pens with a blue ink before they leave the factory. If you pull the nib off, there should be small residue of the blue ink because any pen that's been used an an ink is almost impossible to get all the ink off. If it's completely spotless and clean, it's probably not an authentic lamy pen. This is the best way to spot a fake lamy.

Answer:	Yes you can and just in case any lefties are out there Lamy even makes a left handed nib. And it does make a difference. Love my Lamy pens.

Answer:	Greetings: I tried looking up this nomenclature up on Lamy's website and did not find anything. My suspicion is that it is a designation for the color of the pen casing (13) and the size of the nib (M). I bought a similar pen last year, with the designation (M, medium nib) with a green casing. It works quite nicely. This is a pen that I highly recommend. Great for drawing as well as writing.
Question:	Do the ink cartridge last and not dry out? i had several fountain peas by jane davenport. unfortunately when i went to use they had all dried out
Answer:	Greetings: I purchased my pen on 2 September 2018: a set with a package of 5 cartridges. Just two days ago, I loaded my last cartridge, so over an 8 month period, I have used 5 cartridges. That calculates out to 0.625 cartridge per month. All the cartridges that were issued to me have functioned properly so I am satisfied. I would suspect that cartridges sitting around for long amounts of time will eventually dry up, but I have not see that during the 8 months of my pen use. To me, a reasonable insurance against dried up cartridges would be to purchase a converter and a bottle of ink. No question as to the condition of replacement ink cartridges. BOB
