Question:	What is the pen's metal casing like, is it durable
Answer:	I have a black color pen and use it daily. Over time, the color coating will wear off (in small batches and especially around the area where the cap closes at the body), and reveals a bronze-like color beneath. At other scratched areas at the top of the cap, the underlying color is a metallic gray. But it still looks nice and I continue to use as one of my many daily carries.

Answer:	The question is imprecise. Any fountain pen ink is suitable for use in this pen. Waterman, Diamine, J. Herbin, Robert Oster, etc., etc. Any bottle that says Fountain Pen Ink will do.

Answer:	I am amazed at how easy it is to write or draw with this pen. It's a great purchase and so affordable. I highly recommend these and have purchased another to use with a different color ink.

Answer:	Yes, you can press hard on the ball portion of the pen. Just for clarity, the fine point F301 in my opinion is the best because the ink doesn't run. The bold zebra edition does not write as nice.

Answer:	I love these pens, there are 2 versions of the F-301 that I know of. There is a fine point (F-301 .7 mm) and a thicker version (F301 1.6mm). They both look exactly the same.

Answer:	The ink dries almost immediately, as fast as any other pen I've used. As for the smear, again, about the same as any other pen of similar quality. To me, the writing looks, feels, and responds the same as any other pen-- it's just erasable.
Question:	erase in heat
Answer:	As others mentioned, the higher the heat the less likely it will reappear. The problem with the freezer trick is that everything returns... so if you made an error and erased and wrote on top of it, the freezer brings it all back to an illegible mess. Love these pens but do not recommend for anything important.

Answer:	Shouldn't be a "break in" period. Have you tried multiple pens? All of mine have been very smooth.

Answer:	There is ultra fine point is .38mm extra fine is .5mm
Question:	How long do these pens last. It will take a long time to use 12 pens. Do they dry up after a while
Answer:	Thought I would chime in here. My last order for a dozen of these Pilot G-2 pens was roughly in October of 2018. I am re-ordering because I am down to my last one but it is still going strong. I work from home and use these pens A LOT. Oh, I was not paid to leave this review and do not receive any kickback (or "Perk") for doing so. I have been a HUGE Pilot G-2 fan for many years.
Question:	How do I properly cook this
Answer:	If you are cooking them because you chew on the end of your pen, I suggest that you take the pen apart and just cook the end that you chew on, to soften it up a bit, and then screw it back together. Boiling for maybe one to two minutes should do the trick. Be careful not to deform the plastic or you won't be able to reassemble the pen. Chewing on your pen is not a good practice but probably not as bad as chewing on a pencil and getting paint and splinters in your mouth. Have you considered seeing a therapist to address the root of the the problem?

Answer:	Oops!! Thanks for spotting this issue with our founder picture and pointing it out to us. The story is all true as is the product material, but it looks like the placeholder picture got put up by accident during the preparation for this products new launch. Answer:	I have searched for just the replacement tips for the Metro stylus but have not found them to be sold by themselves. The stylus does come with 20 replacement tips which should last quite awhile. You could order the package with one stylus and 20 replacement tips for around $7.00

Question:	To clarify, so it comes in a box that's fit for a dozen but it's only one pen????? title seems misleading
Answer:	I would recommend you give these a shot, just so you get the hang of using fountain pens again. When I first started to use FPs, I used a very heavy hand-a habit from the ballpoint and rollerball days. Thankfully, I was only using disposable pens so I didn't end up ruining the nibs.Although I've moved on to more expensive pens, I still keep these around. They're good value for money and are good writers as well.
Question:	How many pens are included in this listing? I thought it was for a dozen, but received 6 pens in an opened, ripped up box
Answer:	no, they will not. I took them on a plane and they stated leaking ink, even with the caps on sealed in my carry-on.

Answer:	Looking at these pens for my son and came across this question. Realized this kid has now graduated.....maybe. Did they work? How was high school?

Answer:	Yes the colors are the same as the tops and are rich and true, not faded out. The ink, in these Pilot Varsity fountain pens flows very freely which makes them smooth writing but be careful with cheaper grades of paper the ink will bleed and show through to the other side.

Answer:	Hello,You can find the refills on Amazon. If you type in Pilot Precise V5 refills, they will pull up.Thank you.
Question:	How do you refill this pen
Answer:	I am not sure it is meant to use a refill, but you can unscrew the pen to reveal the ink supply thing. I buy them by the box and when they run out of ink, I send them to the recycle bin. That being said, THESE ARE GREAT PENS!!! I love them, and you will too.
Question:	How much pressure can it withstand and will it splinter during its breaking point
Answer:	The only time this has gotten damaged when I've been using them is when I've dropped them on the floor tip first. The only thing that happens though is the tip bends. With a few times of this happening, I figured out how to bend it back without issue.
