Answer:	These are awesome client pens. I have been using these since 2008 when I first bought one set. They are still in full service. I bought the second set as a gift for my children. This is an incomparable product from Pentel.

Answer:	I bought mine on Amazon (sold by PLEXSUPPLY) in January 2018. They have plastic threads. I had the original pens with brass barrel and threads and didn't realize some MBA degreed decision makers with their faster-smarter-cheaper mentality were planning to mess up a great pen. I wish I had bought a lifetime supply way back when. Most likely if you by these new (anywhere) they will be plastic.

Answer:	I've been using this style pen for over a year and I run out of ink before it dries up. (I write a lot) I buy them in dozen lots and have not found a pen that was "dead" when I retrieve it from stock. The wax tip helps extend shelf life and curbs it from drying out. Answer:	It is not unfortunately. I use it for some art on black paper and it goes from a strong white to a sort of wispy white. You would probably have to go over the area a few times for it to be strong.

Answer:	I am also a southpaw and have learned that if i am coloring with my gel pens, I start on the right side of the page and work my way to the left that way Im not rubbing it with my hand. Another little hack ive used for many moons now is to put a small piece of saran wrap on my hand to add a layer of protection from smearing😊
