Answer:	Wouldnt be my choice for welding . Pretty sure its all plastic synthetic stuff so i wouldnt trust it with heat or sparks.

Answer:	Not all of them - higher quality colored pencils are OK, but the knock-off brands gets chewed up guickly. It has more to do with the quality of the wood in the pencils than the sharpener.
