Question:	i want to use this in my engine bay to stick some led lighting to the hood. its turbocharged and gets very hot, will the tape stand up to the heat
Answer:	I do not think this will work for under the hood it is made for sticking emblems on vehicles. Try getting thin led strip of led's and getting them on the side of the engine bay to keep heat off it and they have a sticky strip on the back.
Question:	can i use this to attach emblems to my car
Answer:	yes, i recommend using ax exacto knife to remove backing from tape if you touch it with you hands the oils on your skin will cause the tape to not inhere properly. I've used this item for car emblems, side moldings, interior/exterior car accessories, hanging picture frames in my home, ect..... Great product. Its a one shot thing, once you put it down it stays. if you try to peel it up and reapply it wont bond as well.
Question:	how much weight will it hold
Answer:	I can't say that I know the exact but in my past experiences, I wouldn't go past twice the amount of weight of the tape. I know that isn't much, but I believe that's all this was intended to hold securely hanging perpendicular.
Question:	Would this work to hold my rear license plate to avoid drilling holes
Answer:	I have had the plate on my gsxr 600 for over 5 years with this tape and still holding up. I have a ziptie in 1 corner just incase but has never come off. I bent the plate at the bottom to match curvature and put 3m tape behind bottom where i bent so wind won't catch it. I also use it for my led plate light mounted on undertail. I ran out so I am ordering more now and because this product has unlimited uses.

Answer:	Tape installation is all about the preparation. This tape is what's used on automobile exteriors to install things like moldings and badges and will hold up just fine if you apply it correctly. - Start by throughly washing the tile with a mild detergent like Dawn. This will also help with degreasing the surface. - You can use something like Simple Green if you need something more aggressive to remove grease and oil residues. - Wipe down the tile thoroughly with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) and let it completely dry. - Install the tape onto the tile. - Using something like a rolling pin or similar, press the tape firmly against the tile with a minimum of 15psi of force. - You can warm the tile with a hair dryer prior to installation and again as you are about to press the tape into place with the roller. Keeping it warmed for about 30 minutes will significantly speed up the process of attaining full adhesion to the tile. Once the tape is ready on the tile, peel the red protectant and firmly press the mirror onto the tape. Be sure that the surface of the mirror you are using is relative smooth and completely clean. Warming it will, again, speed up the process of attaining full adhesion. Don't get it wet for 48 hours if at all possible to allow the adhesive to fully bond with both surfaces and you'll be fine.

Question:	I removed and put it back like 5 times... will this make the adhesive not stick?? Please help
Answer:	This will definitely hurt the performance. I always clean the surfaces i use this tape on with rubbing alcohol first and try to place it as desired the first time. if you were just attaching it and adjusting the position, it will probably still hold okay (albeit not as well especially on dirty surfaces), but if you get it really bonded on there and remove it, it's not going to stick well at all afterward.
Question:	Is this stuff was good for dash cam mounts if i want to affix it to my windshield? Plastic-to-glass
Answer:	This is the tape that holds my dashcam to the windshield, as supplied with the unit. Different width is all. Excellent stuff!
Question:	What does "converted from" mean
Answer:	"Converted" means cut from a log roll. Companies are authorized by 3M to convert or slit log rolls down to smaller widths, that are then sold in lesser widths as shown. Imagine 4 to 8ft long log of tape. Not too usable in most applications and really difficult for anyone but those with specialty equipment to convert to lesser widths.
Question:	Can this be removed from a painted wall without damage
Answer:	It's meant to be a permanent bond. I bought it to replace adhesive in Apple products. I very much doubt it can be removed without some sort of damage to a painted surface. One or more sheets (please select size and quantity, above) of 3M 9474LE double-linered and double-coated adhesive transfer tape, more commonly called "double-sided adhesive." It features 3M's super-strong 300LSE adhesive. 3M 300LSE adhesive bonds extremely well with metal, wood, plastics, hard leather, suede, fabrics, and rubber. 3M 300LSE bonds even with Acrylic and other so-called "Low Surface Energy" (hence the “LSE” designation in 300LSE) plastics that don't bond well with other glues. 3M's 9474LE is 3M's most sophisticated design of 300LSE-based double-sided adhesives. It comprises three layers, two adhesive layers, 2.8 mils and 3.4 mils thick, and, sandwiched between them, a thin polyester carrier, 0.5 mils thick. This sandwiched design provides much improved handling characteristics, especially for cutting with knives or scissors. In contrast, after cutting a simpler single-layer 300LSE-based sheet with a knife or with scissors, the edges along the cut tend to stick together, making it almost impossible to peel the liners off cleanly. Answer:	I use this tape all the time. Only the first 6 inches or so have a protective film. Once you remove it, it’s just the double side tape. It’s a little tricky to remove the protective film but it gets easier w practice.

Answer:	The packaging states, "Safe for color photos" and "Photo-safe determined in accordance with ISO Standard 18916" and "Conforms to ASTM D-4236." I am using my double-sided tape for family albums and feel confident my albums will last many, many years to be passed down to great-great grandchildren.

Answer:	I have the package right in front of me. It states 6 rolls 1/2 inch by 500 inches for a total of 3000 inches. This a great buy for a great product.

For maximum bond strength, the surface should be thoroughly cleaned and dried. Typical cleaning solvents are heptane or isopropyl alcohol. Carefully read and follow manufacturer’s precautions and directions for use when using cleaning solvents. Question:	Will this work on interior auto door panels? The panels have peeled back and are falling off. Tried adhesives too messy
Answer:	This is a double sided tape. I used it to put accent chrome on my Tahoe. The surfaces were cleaned with soap/ water, then acetone prior to using the tape. If you have panels that are clean and flat, possibly it may work. If it does not, you can always fall back on adhesives. This of course is the non messy alternative. but if the surfaces are clean and dry I would say it would work.
Question:	will this tape work for mounting weather stripping
Answer:	I would say no. Not in the long run. I believe that the thickness of the tape changes the clearance of the weather stripping. This stuff works well and has a good adhesive. I would make sure that you can match the width of the tape to the width of the weather stripping and give it a try.
Question:	Is this the right tape for car body work? For example attaching exterior parts to the car's paint, such as spoilers etc ? If not, please advise
Answer:	Once you get it in place and let it set let's say overnight you will play hell getting it off.
Question:	Will this stick to glass headlights? Im trying to put leds around it
Answer:	Glass should hold just fine, although I didn't have much success with certain plastics and rubbers. It will be a hit or miss with your LEDs.
