[Kind of similar to White-Out product's, when not used they dry up].

Answer:	The ink cartridges have been damaging the printers that use 902. If you buy online buyer beware. I bought supposedly the combo pack with all the colors and when it came to cyan, the printer said it wasn’t hp ink and would not allow me to print at that point. I had to put my used cartridge back into the printer. Hoping HP fixes it soon. I called HP they do not know when the issue will be fixed. I am just using a grey scale now only black until this issue is fixed and blotting the cyan cartridge once in a while to keep it from drying out.

That would bring the total to 420 standard pages using one 63xl. hP cartridge. There is still ink for approximately 15-20 more pages. You do have to beware of Sellers b/c you can get a cartridge that has been refilled. I recently found ordering from Staples, I received the ink in 3 days. I needed ink sooner and it took 13 days to receive my ink from Amazon and the package was totally destroyed (today). I will return for refund. Rather than take any further chances I will order all my future cartridge from Staples. To be fair with honest Sellers , this was the first time ( bought 8 times) I had this problem with damage but it is always a very lengthy delivery. and I need the ink delivered in a timely manner. You get approximately 300 pages with 63.

Answer:	These are either old or re-manufactured, at least some of them are. My printer status screen says that one black and one color cartridge purchased in 2018 have warranty expiration dates in 2015. The high yield black one just failed with about 80% of the ink still in it.

Answer:	If you are talking about 4 x 6 or similar size, yes. If you are talking about full 8 x 11 probably not. I am NOT impressed at all with the limited number of sheets you get out of color ink when you print normal and high quality pictures. The problem is that only one of the colors needs to go out and the cartridge is useless. If your print is red heavy, as soon as the red is depleted it does not matter how much blue and yellow is left, the cartridge will not print color correctly. I would have two on hand to be sure for 50 invitations depending on how color heavy they are.

Answer:	Yes. It is a cartridge with 3 colors so when one runs out, the cartridge needs replaced.
Question:	how do i know which color is out hp952xl
Answer:	One. The one cartridge has three compartments each with a different color. When one compartment is empty, the whole cartridge is useless. I only use HP color printers to print my HD photos on professional photo paper. For all other applications, I recommend a color laser printer which will do FAR more printing than ink jets and is so cost effective that it will pay for itself in a year if you do a medium volume of work.
