| Answer: | First let me say, just free leaning against the wall while on carpet is very awkward for the height of the stand to stay up on it's on, much less placing items on it. Secondly, if you're using Velcro you might be leaving behind heavy residue on the walls that could be hard to remove later or pull paint off the wall when removing the strips. I wouldn't use anything but industrial strength Velcro on this unit if I was going to use Velcro at all. Now having said all of that, I would be skeptical that Velcro would work safely. Meaning, even if you're placing VERY, VERY LIGHT items on the shelves, maybe and that's a big maybe it would be okay to use Velcro. I had my shelf system installed where there was medium pile carpet in the room and I didn't feel secure unless it was properly mounted to the wall with anchors/screws. So my opinion, is for the best and the safest installation, I would only recommend anchoring to the wall to prevent a tipping hazard. Keep in mind if there's kids around or if there's a good enough bump, it may tip it from it's Velcro fastening strips. Otherwise this is a nice shelf system. I hope this helps. |

| Answer: | Well, once installed, it works just fine. Installation is more tricky: use your command line (in different OSs it requires different keystrokes). Open your DVD/CD drive. Find application (exe) file and activate installation. It is a bit old fashioned, but once again, once you "unenveloped" the package, it takes little space on your disk, it is fast, it is really compatible with MS Office. |
