Answer:	The silver bar has adhesive on it and it's stuck on a name tag. The magnetic bar is on the inside of a shirt to hold the name tag in place.

Answer:	I don't know, but I have never had the parts of magnetic badge separate in spite of the strength of the magnets. The adhesive that can stick the magnet to a plastic name badge is very strong, too.
Question:	Would these be to heavy for a name badge on a t-shirt
Answer:	Depends on the name badge. Is it a lightweight material or heavier material? I use mine with no problem on tee shirts, but have had problems with one from a different organization that is a heavier material.
Question:	Making a DIY magnetic garage screen door, will these adhere to the mesh screen to permit an entry way
Answer:	My guess: The magnet connection is fairly strong and might work well if your screen isn’t too thick.
