Answer:	Th UV and AUTO buttons will light up automatically. Push "ADD" so that it lights up to add the bills. This counter does NOT count the value of mixed denominations of bills. Then push "VALUE". Choose the value of the bills you want to add. The 1, 5, 10, 20, 100 represent $1, $5, $10, $20, $100. Push start before you put bills in the counter. I found at with a large stack of bills of one denomination, it is best to put in smaller stacks of that denomination piecemeal. The counter will continue to add the value of the total you put in and give you the total value. You then can "start" again with another denomination. I was disappointed that the counter does not count the value of mixed denominations of money, but that kind of counter is far more expensive, so this works for our small business. I use an excel spreadsheet to add the value of the different denominations for a total. Calculator would work too.

2. Count more than once to ensure accuracy

Remember this device is not equipped with a banknote recognition function:

1. It can only count the number of banknotes.

Answer:	You do not need a printer. I had to contact the support at Kolibri as the machine did not function properly, after three weeks and them having me do a second calibration, they sent me a new KBR which I received today, if you can wait a week for a better review after some usage, I will be happy to give you a review of the KBR-1500.
