The plastic thing across the bottom slides up and down and I find it handy for highlighting a line of data I am using or referring to. The clip at the top is adjustable so it works for 8 1/2 X 11 and 8 1/2 X 14 size paper both. I have two of them and they met my need perfectly.

Answer:	Yes, I don't see why not. The switcher on the box allows you to change the source of the feed. Since both I presume are over the air antennae for TV, I would just keep the "air" option selected for both antennae rather than switching over to "cable" when you change between them.
