Question:	Can this item be used in compression
Answer:	My scale works great hanging vertically off a chain hoist, but to your question ~ On one project I wanted to see if a 12 foot tall gantry hoist could handle an 'angled' pull of at least 1000 pounds if someone had to hook to an object that wasn't directly under the hoist. I don't know if the angle was 45 degrees but I hooked a chain to a heavy truck's bumper off to the side about 8 feet and then to the digital scale and then to the gantry hoist's chain hook. The key to getting an accurate scale reading was a constant pressure by slowly tightening the chain hoist. I turned the chain hoist until I got a reading of 1,000 lbs then took it up to 1,200. The hoist was ON the entire time and it started out vertical and then slowly went at a angle as I tightened the chain hoist. I can do a specific test if there is a way for you to send me a return note on here?
Question:	Could this also be used to weigh large fish
Answer:	I tested it when I got it by weighing a couple hundred pounds of dumbbells, and it was accurate to within a pound. Same when just weighing 15 lbs of them alone - works great.
