Answer:	7.1oz is equivalent to .44 of a lb. 16 ounces in a pound. so 7/1oz is 0.44. I haven't checked mine but I see on mine an "oz" on the top right - next to where you might find your "44" ... which signifies you are weighing at ounces vs grams, not necessarily that you have 44oz. Look more closely because you may actually have an accurate scale. Hope this helps and not too late of an answer.

Question:	Am a beginner at this and i need to weigh coins. a nickel is suppose to weigh 5.0 grams. mine weighs 14.7 grams. what am i missing here
Answer:	Clean your nickel. Use g as your unit. Tare your scale. Weigh it. It should be 5.0 or 5.3 depending on how clean it is. Otherwise try a different nickel. If problem persists the scale is faulty.
Question:	What size calibration weight does this use
Answer:	It does not come with a calibration weight, but the instructions indicate to use a 500g weight. Very nice scale, used it to weigh a small cord @ .07 grams.
Question:	So after doing a recalibration it passed but now will not zero out. Ive tried pulling battiers out and it still wont zero back out what to do
