Answer: Recyclable in that you'd re-use it for mailing? Possibly. If you can get the mailing label off. You'd also have to use scissors to cut the package open but then to re-use the envelope again, you'd have to retape it. But to dispose of it as recyclable material? I have no idea.

The reason was the thickness. To qualify for the First Class Letter rate, the thickness cannot vary by more than 1/4 inch. The thickness of the mailer only is just shy of the 1/4 inch requirement so with the trinkets I ship adding another 1/4 Inch to the thickness. my items fall into the First Class Parcel large envelope rate of $2.67 USD. So if I understand your question, you can ship your part in this envelope for a single First Class stamp if the thickness is 1/4" or less and the weight less than 1 oz.

Answer: It's a flat envelope. The inside dimensions are 8" x 10-3/4" Flap is on the 8" side

Answer: Not at all. They are pink on the outside and silver on the inside. Very secure.

Answer: It would be too tight. Can't really fit a 8.5"x11" piece of paper let alone a whole book. If the envelope was 1/4" wider it would be ok-- though it would also depend on the thickness of the book. You probably want to go bigger.
Question: How can you write the address on them? Labels aren't sticking
Answer: I found good stickers at Staples that attach well. I think they are mailing stickers with permanent adhesive.

Answer: They are probably too rigid to run through a printer of any sort. What you might consider doing is printing labels and then adhering the label to the mailer
