What I can tell you is that the cross bar is located 2.5" from the edge of the top. I presume the manufacturer placed the cross bar away from the edge so clamps could be mounted but not sure if the clamp you are referring to would fit on the 2.5"? As a side note, I really like my desk. Has tons of room on the top and is very sturdy! Good luck!

That's the only thing I looked about it until the whistle fell off.

Answer:	My son is left handed and had no difficulty using this program. We have the Kindergarten and 1st grade books. The only thing they teach differently is which direction to tilt the paper. From the research I've done lefties tend to draw their circles and cross their t's in the opposite directions of righties. This book does not adjust for that. It wasn't an issue in my opinion.

Answer:	I bought this for my 4 year old, and he found it incredibly frustrating. You have to hold them a certain way to get the pressure you need to cut. I'm not overly happy with them.
Question:	Is this just one book or a set
Answer:	There is no blade on the scissors. I did just try to cut my own hair and it did not cut mine :)
Question:	How many pages is it
Answer:	The blade of the scissors does not change, therefore they are not truly ambidextrous. Left handed scissors have the top blade on the left so the person can see the line they are cutting. That being said, if your preschooler just wants to cut paper for fun and get a general idea, these can still work.
