Question:	Hello! does this radio receive the time broadcast on 10.000 mhz? The dial looks like it goes to 9.95 mhz, but will it actually go to 10.000 mhz
Answer:	yes it does. on my particular radio there is a religious broadcast at 9980. the 10000 beacon comes in very close to that station. when i say very close, i mean VERY close. but with an analog dial your results may vary. hope this helps.

Answer:	just measured it for ya...5 1/8 inch width x 1 inch depth x 3 inch height

Answer:	This unit does not have an antenna jack. You can, however, attach a piece of long wire to the telescopic antenna using an alligator clip. The end result is the same. Even a 20 foot wire will at least double your signal strength.

Answer:	Sorry it has 10 shortwave bands that cover 3.9-21.85 MHz. You can select any one of those bands and search stations all over the world. Shortwave listening works much better at night. This radio would be a very good choice for a beginner.

Question:	Would this be a good choice over the PL-880 if AM/FM reception is also important to me? PL-880 seems too new and little more expensive
Answer:	The PL 660 is a very good radio.. I have had mine around 2 years now and have had no problem with it. I am very perticular about reception on all the bands and this radio does an excellent job.. AM and FM reception is great... Shortwave and Side Band work very well and I also can pick up many airplanes both near and far.. It is more sensitive than my Bearcat Scanner SC 150 and I was suprised about that..It puts me to sleep every night and when I go somewhere I just unplug it and take it with me.. Battery life is fine with the rechargable batteries... Save your money and get a PL 660...It is all the radio you will ever need...

Question:	DC Adaptor died . Used batteries to check that was not radio. Radio fine, but proper voltage and mAmp adaptor from Radioshack did not work
Answer:	My radio died after 2 years of very regular use with the AC jack. The dial light fluttered (like a last gasp) and then it stopped working altogether. I think it may be the jack but when I tried batteries, and hitting the reset button on the bottom, it still doesn't turn on. Now I'm wondering if the batteries, which were new with the radio, expired before I even used them. It was a good radio while it lasted; from the NYC area I used to tune into Hamilton Canada. The PL-660 even came with a lengthy portable antenna that you could plug in on the side. Maybe I should try a Crane radio, or upgrade to the PL-880 although it's about $50 more. Any suggestions about getting this radio to work before I toss it??
