Question:	Does anyone know of an alternative stand that holds books at a steeper angle, closer to 90 degrees
Answer:	Yes, and no. When the page clips are in place they must be lowered (or swung to the side) to turn a page. But I primarily use the clips to hold pages in place for very thick books or when I am leaving a book on the stand for awhile. While I am reading, I use the stand to keep the book in the best position for viewing; the pages can then be turned as easily as if I were holding the book without the stand.

Question:	How would I purchase the 4-year protection plan, after I made the purchase of this product
Answer:	Yes, I do use it when lying in bed. Depending on how propped up I am, I put it on a pillow if I am lying too low (to get my weight off my hips to relieve pain). It will adjust almost flat or all the way back up. Answering your question about books....I only use it with my Kindle Fire except one time I used it to hold a recipe book while cooking, but I only use it for the Kindle Fire. I think that if you have a book in it and it is standing too far in the 'up' position it will be front-heavy and fall forward...only if you are lying down and the stand is trying to balance on a pillow or soft foundation. I honestly find this reading stand the only thing I need for a book or a Kindle.

Answer:	Being a backpacker myself, yes, it does fold flat enough to fit in a backpack. When the adjustable arm in the back is released to lay against the back of the book stand, you have about 3 1/2" that protrudes from the bottom as you can see in the picture. This would not prevent you, however, from carrying it in the pack. The dimension of the stand is 8" high and 11" wide. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I can turn the pages quite easily if I don't push the clear plastic page-holder arms too tight against the book. Page-turning hasn't been a problem at all.

Answer:	To answer this question I tried a very "fat" mass market paperback (302 pages, 1 1/2 " thick). It was not perfectly flat BUT because of the stand's adjustability it was quite readable. Any thick paperback is never read flat unless you break the binding but I read all sizes of books and this stand works with everything I've tried. Love it for large hardcovers, softcovers and magazines.
