Answer:	Single compartment. Dividers slide on a metal pole at the bottom.

Answer:	It is only going to fit "standard" 3.5 inch wide business cards. It can accommodate a card taller than standard 2 inch maybe up to 2.5 inches in height as you asked but those will exceed the height of the file dividers that come with it. I would say no, it is only for standard size business cards.
