Answer:	In response to your question, I took a heavy cardboard box that had been used to ship produce and tried to cut it. I cut the cardboard into several pieces and it cut smoothly but with a slight resistance (a little more force than with plain paper). Accordingly, within the dimensions of the cutting board and guard, you should have no problems.

Answer:	Not more then one sheet of card stock. I woke at a restaurant and it’s not capable of cutting more then one piece of 65lb cardstock for our menus without causing fraying of the edge. Not very professional.

Answer:	There is no extendable ruler. The width is 9" from blade to side. I purchased it so I could cut 12x12 paper point to point to make triangles, which it does fabulously.

Answer:	I bought this unit in Feb 2010, and from the dimensions given on Amazon (23.1 x 11.5 x 2.8 inches), it sounds like it should. Fact is, it won't. The best you can do is 18". I believe those dimensions include the packaging.Still, I like the unit, and have another cutter for my longer length cuts.Sorry for the news, but I hope it helps you make your decision.

Answer:	Thank you for your question. That would be a little too dense for the 508 Personal Rolling Trimmer to cut through. The 508 is a small personal craft trimmer designed for a few sheets of paper per pass. The laminated card stock would either stop the rolling head right in it's tracks, or cause the cutting head to "jump track" and come out of alignment.

Answer:	I (windrider) take back my previous answer. My trimmer only came in inches. I thinking of another trimmer I have that has both metric and imperial measurements.

Answer:	Yes, it can trim them! From my experience (using THIS cutter for 15+ years) cutting delicate items, I use NONpermanent double sided tape and attach the delicate 'ads' to a piece of scrap paper (I use computer paper) lining up the edges. This gives you a way to hang onto the delicate ads/small pieces of paper you want to cut, giving them a straight edge. The scrap paper also gives the cutter something to hold to, rather than the delicate paper going thru alone. I cut delicate (re: old) newspaper, vintage doilies, vintage catalogs/books (early 1900's). If I can be of any more help please feel free to contact me. Answer:	I believe it will only trim one piece of cardstock at a time...however, I haven't really tried it. I would think that the cardstock is too heavy to slide beneath the wire, plus it may slip

Question:	Can this cut 17" tabloid sheets
Answer:	I believe so. I have not needed a replacement part but I think I read on the specifications tab they were available. You do know you can rotate it 90 degrees for a new cutting surface.
Question:	Minimum cut size? I heard that this cutter would not measure all the way down to 1/8", which I need to be able to do my paper quilling. Is that true
Answer:	Not quite sure about the question, however, on my trimmer there is a small lever near where the long handle, which operates the blade, pivots; the small lever has to be pressed down; it is spring loaded so hold it down while pulling the long handle to operate the cutter blade. After the long handle has moved a bit you can stop holding the small lever down. Be sure that the paper is clamped tightly by operating the rotating handle at the end of the blade assembly opposite from the long handle pivot. After the cut, when the long handle is moved up to near vertical, the lock device will re-lock the blade in the up position. Hope this helps. Bob
Question:	Maximum cut size? One reviewer says this cutter will not cut a full 12" (they say it 'almost' cuts 10"). Is that true? I need 11 inch cuts. Thanks
Answer:	The paper clamp has a crank handle on the front that is used to raise and lower the presser. When the cutter arrives, this crank is installed backwards for shipping, so you have to take off the retaining bolt and turn it around, then put it back on before using the cutter. The directions do not mention this step so it is somewhat confusing when the cutter arrives. The paper clamp assembly itself does not move, only the presser bar that holds the paper in place for cutting. If you do not securely lower the presser bar before you cut, you will almost certainly end up with a crooked cut.

Answer:	The blade is 16 in long. It will cut the 12” direction not to 18” direction

Answer:	It might! It does great with regular paper and I use it mainly for cutting sticker paper
Question:	Where is the safety lock
Answer:	The safety lock is located on the side. The arm must be pulled outward slightly and placed into a knob that sticks out of the side of the body. It does not have a metal clip safety lock like some other paper cutters do.
Question:	Would this be good for scrapbooking? It says it has a 12 inch blade - does that mean it can cut 12x12 inch paper
Answer:	It's 10 3/4" x 10 3/4". The blade itself is 12". I use it to cut leather, so I'm confident it'll have no problems with any kind of paper.

Question:	will this cut watercolor paper into smaller 4X6 sizes? Watercolor paper is somewhat thick
Answer:	The only thing I have cut is standard 8 1/2 x 11 copy paper. Not sure how thick watercolor paper is but if it's more than five sheets of regular paper I don't think this would work.
Question:	Where can i get blade refills
Answer:	You should be able to find replacement blades on amazon as well.
Question:	Can this cut paper that is 15" long
Answer:	I would say, "no." From end to end it is 14" long. I do not cut anything that long, mostly photos & craft type items.
Question:	do you have to replace the blade
Answer:	Eventually it will become dull. Then buy a 2-blade set of Fiskars Titanium TripleTrack High Profile Cutting Replacement Blades, Style I for about $6 Prime.
