Answer:	I used it to cut regular laminate pages (5 mil) and it worked great. The blade and the handle are fine.

Answer:	In response to your question, I took a heavy cardboard box that had been used to ship produce and tried to cut it. I cut the cardboard into several pieces and it cut smoothly but with a slight resistance (a little more force than with plain paper). Accordingly, within the dimensions of the cutting board and guard, you should have no problems.
Question:	Could I use this to cut card stock (say three sheets of the thickness of index cards
Answer:	Not more then one sheet of card stock. I woke at a restaurant and it’s not capable of cutting more then one piece of 65lb cardstock for our menus without causing fraying of the edge. Not very professional.

Question:	Can this cut multiple pieces of cardstock at once? If you've tried this, about how thick was your cardstock, and how many did you try cutting at once
Answer:	I believe it will only trim one piece of cardstock at a time...however, I haven't really tried it. I would think that the cardstock is too heavy to slide beneath the wire, plus it may slip

Answer:	Yes it does but you have to buy the scoring blade which is black and put it on the rail. Or you can just buy two one for scoring and one for cutting. This is a great cutter and scorer. I've had my trimmer for about 1-1/2 yrs.

Answer:	Except for the two main uprights, Each vertical bar is 0.50” diameter. The space between each bar is 2.5”

Answer:	Thank you for your question. This gate will fit spaces up to 38.5" without an extension. Unfortunately, even wihen using an extension, because of the difference in the top and bottom measurements, ths gate will not work for your space.

Answer:	Yes. I know you’re not supposed to but I pressure-mounted mine at the top. Unfortunately the plastic part that stops the gate from swinging both was broke pretty quickly and the auto shut also didn’t work for long. But neither was worth returning it. I got extra pad protectors to help the mount stay more secure and it only moves if my much older kids lean on it.

Answer:	There is no extendable ruler. The width is 9" from blade to side. I purchased it so I could cut 12x12 paper point to point to make triangles, which it does fabulously.
Question:	Can you see exactly where the cut is being made? I have a rotary cutter that can't cut less than 1" because the blade guide covers it

Answer:	I bought this unit in Feb 2010, and from the dimensions given on Amazon (23.1 x 11.5 x 2.8 inches), it sounds like it should. Fact is, it won't. The best you can do is 18". I believe those dimensions include the packaging.Still, I like the unit, and have another cutter for my longer length cuts.Sorry for the news, but I hope it helps you make your decision.

Question:	How far up does the handle lift
Answer:	As far up as needed for your paper you want to cut is flush on the top side, so technica, it lifts up almost straight up.
Question:	How do you sharpen the blade
Answer:	It's a self sharpening blade. Each time you use the blade, keep it against the metal edge of the bed. That hones the blade. The trickiest part is keeping the nearest end of the blade against the metal strip. I use 15 sheets of computer paper as a reference and the blade will cut through most things. It is made for paper and the sharpness of mine is great after 4 years of papercutting.
Question:	How well does this cut card stock
Answer:	This is a beautiful paper cutter. I use it in my classroom on paper, card stock, and laminated items. I have owned it for 3 years and still cuts smooth. As with any paper cutter, you are limited on the number of pieces it will handle at once. I prefer using over the one in the teachers work room that has gotten dull.
Question:	I just got this and was unhappy to find that the solid lines were metric indicators. Is this a problem for anyone out there used to inches
Answer:	I thought that it was a problem until I realized that the dotted lines are in inches. And they aren't in the usual 1/4 inch intervals... they are actually 1/8" measurements and that is better than any other cutter that I have had. I have vision problems and I can read the dots easily. Give the dots a chance and I think you'll like it.

Answer:	I use mine for cutting 12 x12 papers. The table width is 12.25 with 12 inch markings. With the cutter it is 13 1/8 inches wide Vertical it is a 13 inch board surface and with the cutter is 19 inches. I hope this helps you. BTW I love mine. It is well made, sturdy and cuts beautifully

Question:	Will this cut laminated card stock
Answer:	Yes it is possible as long as the laminate and cardstock together aren't to thick. I have no trouble with it.
Question:	Does this cut 12 X 12 paper
Answer:	I have only used it for cutting coupons on the 8 1/2 by 11 paper. It looks big enough to cut 12 x 12 paper. You would have to make sure you manually hold it in place. You may also have to slide it 'up' to cut the bottom of the paper.
Question:	Can this cut cardstock
Answer:	Yes, it will cut cardstock.
Question:	Is there a scoring blade that can be used with this cutter
Answer:	Not this one, it really uses a "blade" or knife type blade. I have only seen rotary scoring blades, that work in their rotary styles.

Question:	Can you take away that clear plastic to hold the paper down
Answer:	BTW, yes you can remove the plastic "holder/keeper" from the bottom of the cutter by spreading the "plastic" tabs and pushing through the slots they fit thru 
Question:	What are the dimensions of this cutter
Answer:	The handle is 19 and 1/2 inches long, the base is 14 inches wide by 14 and 1/2 inches tall. The base (grid part) is about 2 and 1/4 inches tall.
Question:	Could I use this to cut card stock (say three sheets the same thickness as 3x5 cards
Answer:	Yes. I have used it for something similar. It works well if you do not overload it. 3 sheets at a time should be ok.
Question:	Does it cut straight
Answer:	I find it does NOT cut straight if you align the top edge. You must use the printed grid on the base which is not very convenient. I really wish I could adjust the alignment guide at the top.
